If your talking about the hog hair closures, they are what I prefer as well, I have seen the foam closures hanging up inside the ridge in the attic, not sure if the adhesive on them wasn't sufficient or what.

There are also several widths of metal ridge cap, I prefer the wider ridge cap verses the narrow.

Not sure if yours has one or not but many of the JD tractors will have a filter/screen inside the tank on the outgoing or suction side and they are known for getting gummed up or a little algae in the tank will partially block it.

I second the MTL as I have one but mine is for my skid steer and it's about 1000 lbs, I understand that Homestead makes a nice light weight grapple for compact tractors.

Both CID and Rut manufacturing are well known companies in the skid steer world for producing and selling quality ss attachments, seems that area is full of manufacturing.
