Budget-Friendly & Durable Parking Option for My Holland 1925 Tractor

I have 3 of these sheds in different sizes to store balers and tractors. They cost between $2000 and $3500. The one in the phot is 24'x30' with 10' interior clearance. Get a pad prepped and they will come and install it in a few hours.
I suggest you install your own corner anchors, augers concrete and chains. Mine survived a severe storm with 90MPH winds. Google "carports" the RV people use a lot of them. Most companies will enclose them too. Much more useful than shipping container.

If you have a building that will allow you to build a lean-to next to it, that could be your cheapest option. I put a 30' x 14' lean-to with a metal roof on the back of my 2nd garage and it was $1000. Keeps the majority of weather off of anything underneath, keeps the sun off, and being open air, keep the varmints from wanting to build a nest in the winter.

And since you're parking it outside now, I hope you have a "kill switch" on it to help prevent theft.

I have since built a small pole barn (32x32ish) and the barn is way more convenient.
The problem with anything that has windows or doors is not going to be secure. Windowed doors are an easy mark. Once inside, the big doors open. Closed up buildings invite curiosity. Might as well park your stuff under a shed and install cameras.

I'm in Mendon, UT and the budget could stretch to $5000.
Do you have the capability to build a structure yourself? A post frame/pole barn structure the same square footage as a shipping container (320 sq. ft.) is possible for that much if you're not paying for labor. If you're ok with less footage, you could hire a small building (the size of that plastic Tractor Supply shed) built for that (at least around here. Prices can vary drastically from place to place.).

Have a Bobcat CT230 which I got about 10 years ago and as the first person mentioned I left it outside and would drape a tarp over it when not in use. After a few months my wife suggested to build a shed to give it better protectiom. My wife does not even drive the tractor and does not work on the farm - I was impressed. Built a "pole barn about 32x20. Corner posts were 8x8s and walls were 6x6 spaced every 8 ft. Used 2x8s for the wall stringers/jousts and 8x8 for the roof with a pitch of 4 ft. Then covered the walls with 3x20 prefab sheet metal for walls and roof. On concrete slab. Where the walls met the roof overhang (2 ft overhang) to keep rain and spray out just left it open to let the air through. Simple to build and was about 3-4K - was build 10 years ago. Considered a CONEX container but as they are 8 ft wide - did not like the width even if it was 20 or 40 ft long. could not really move around inside and do much. Sold part of the farm and the barn went with it.
On the remainder of the farm had a 30x40 barn erected by in a professional - cost quite a bit more but built it as a barndominium so now have a barn with 2 "rooms" 40x18 floor for the tractor with plenty of room for other "farm stuff", i.e. finishing mower, bush hog... and a 40x12 floor for an apartment with full kitchen and 3/4 bathroom. We occassionally spend the weekend there and other friends use it as well. Worked out very very well but as mentioned cost a few bucks - about 30K-35K. But sure is nice when the wife says "don't you have something to do at the farm today"? Farm is about 20 miles from the house.
The point of this is think outside the box if you have the resources and you certainly will not regret it. BTW - the 20 ft CONEX is where I store chemicals, fuel, etc. about 200 ft from the barndominum.

When thinking about a conx, go to Harbor Freight and get 50' of 1/4" rope.
Stake out a 20' x 8' x 20' "floor plan" and then park your tractor in it.
Now... try walking around it.
Doesn't work for me, I need AT LEAST 10' width.

I use a 40ft steel shipping container [which were cheap when I bought it ~ 2K], with an awning built on one side for the tractor and associated equipment. The shipping container provides 320 sq ft of enclosed and secured storage, and the tractor equipment is covered, yet easy to get to, with trees on the open side to provide extra protection.

Around here, a 20' shipping container goes for around $3K delivered. IMO, this would be the best compromise between cost & durability, with the added bonuses of security and rodent protection.

According to Tractor Data, the width of a 1925 is 54". That would leave 20" or so on each side when the tractor is centered in the container.
