Good morning!!!!

   / Good morning!!!! #211,641
saw a video saying lot of leftover cars sitting on dealer lots
for fun found out on Autotrader.com that within 50 miles of me there are
188 brand new 2023 cars/trucks
1,452 brand new 2024 cars/trucks

then I wondered how many nationwide:
55 model year 2021
979 year 2022
6,072 year 2023
51,230 year 2024

that's a lot of flat spotted tires
and "lot rot" described as:
  • Dead battery: Modern cars have a "parasitic drain" from systems like the clock, anti-theft alarms, and onboard computer, which slowly drains the battery even when the car is off. Without being driven or connected to a battery maintainer, the battery will eventually die and require replacement.
  • Contaminated fluids: Engine oil, transmission fluid, and brake fluid can all degrade over time. In a stationary car, moisture from condensation can build up, diluting the fluids and causing internal corrosion.
  • Rust on brakes: The rotors on a car's brakes are particularly susceptible to rust, especially in damp climates. With a new car, this surface rust will typically wear off after a few braking applications, but extensive rust from years of sitting can cause persistent noise or poor braking performance.
  • Flat spots on tires: When a car sits in one spot for an extended period, the tires can develop permanent flat spots where they have been compressed against the ground. This causes vibrations while driving and can require new tires to fix.
  • Fuel system clogs: Gasoline breaks down and evaporates over time, leaving behind a varnish-like residue that can clog fuel injectors and other components.
  • Critter infestations: An idle car makes a perfect home for pests like rodents, which can chew on wires, build nests, and cause expensive damage to the engine bay.

Scott, good to know, thanks
I'm sure he's going to want to discuss our favorite topic, roids...
lots of curves on that pathway and want to make sure the camera simply doesn't
go straight somewhere, which would put me in emergency surgery for sure and make an unpleasant
day much worse

Good Morning,
Ct, 45 to start going to 72. Later oks to be the last nice day before some showers move in tomorrow and Wednesday.

We did quite well selling hotdogs and hamburgers yesterday at the pumpkin festival. This year we stepped it up a notch with bacon egg and cheese sandwiches to start the day. We couldn’t make them quick enough. I was the hotdog guy , and those things flew off the grill also. It was a great event because we had the old timers like me working with a lot of our newer members, definitely a teamwork event. 🙏

Kathleen wants to go in the hot tub one last time tonight, so it looks like I get to close the pool in the rain tomorrow 😉🥲

I may celebrate this morning with some more POTA operations at a local state park 😉

Hope all have a blessed and safe day 🙏

Good Morning Drew,

Drew, the doctor told me after the last colonoscopy that I probably won’t need to have that procedure done again. I have been getting them done since I was 50 and they never found anything, so I guess unless I have some issues that I need not go back. Supposedly the risk of perforation of the colon is great after 75. So we shall see. 😉🙏
If you don't have a family history of colon cancer and you're not had previous colon grief, then they commonly say its not worth it.

Good morning tbn folks. In the 50's here now with a predicted high of 68 today. Got more than a 1/2 inch of rain late yesterday as we were cleaning out our camper to sell. Spent much of the day cleaning and putting it in order for retail. The 9yo neighbor girl stopped by to chat, who is a chatter box. Puppy has had loose stool for a few days so I'll need to run a sample to the vet and check for parasites. Will get the camper moved to the "for sale" parking lot today.

My Dr. said the same thing. Was glad when he said that.

thanks.
they found something, maybe a red herring but a possible growth
this is no surprise since I grow things, long history of this internally, half my thyroid removed to get rid of growths.
and since I had cancer nearby within last five years, they have to/should be cautious.
maybe this guy will look at the CT scan and say he is less concerned.
colonoscopy is gold standard.
but your pipes have to be able to take the wear and tear, and surely want no tears
I'm sure I'll have to stop blood pressure meds/aspirin many days in advance.
Have done this before, just not for 7 years so this will be my last.

what today's visit will also discuss is clipping the growths while he is in there, getting my buy in
on that. I'm sure if he clips in the problem area it will get biopsied. Last time I did this they chomped
me good, took six biopsies. All clear. This time am going to ask if so many needed.

Arly, nice murphy bed trailer. Close friend of mine just bought his first travel trailer, a murphy bed model too.
Simply gives a small trailer way more usable room inside, particularly without a slide. They chose no slide in theirs which
I'm hoping they don't regret on longer stays. Thankfully my friend loves to barbecue so they will spend as much time outside
as they can.

Morning all!
38 going to a nice 72
.
Was a nice quiet week with nothing on the schedule. Spent some time with grass cutting and leaf removal. Starting way early this year.
This week we have something to do every day or at least the wife does.
Got a piece of wood in the mail that is somewhere between 30,000 to 50,000 years old. Decided to make a dish out of it.

Made another hollow form. This time out of Siberian ash:

Working on this and that to stay busy. Will probably do some leaf work with the back pack blower and then spend the rest of the day recouping. 3 windows that need a ladder to wash from outside will get done today after the wife returns from her errands.
That's all for now.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!
