What a fun labor day trip to meet up with family. Traveled to my south land and son family came in from out of state to meet there too.

Dad fired up the smoker and done a big thick brisket. He used oak for that and then I took apple wood and split it to use for ribs on smoker later too.

Gave dad his echo 3510 for his early Christmas gift.

Dug up 5 smaller trees planted by birds from my north land down there. Then planted 5 mulberry trees on my southern land.

Good to see. Since that little 2500T panned out and the older rear handle one wasnt as good.

Rear handle version coming. Out overseas already

Echo DSC-2500 the new rear handle version of the tried and true 2500T? Trying to make sure not the older one that wasnt as good as the 2500T saw.

Not at USA dealers yet from my search so has to be the new one.

Dry Weight (kg)

Pics shown of a stihl 363 that been shipped over to US.
Is supposed to be carbed version of the new 400. But thats where it stops.

Stihl 363 open port cylinder and piston pics.

Then compared to the new 400 if recall right.

I can recall when a Base Gasket was nowhere near that clean of a fit. You would be able trim 2-4mm out of the Transfer Port

I am recommend the 2500T 100%. After having it for a few months now, I have really ran it through the paces. it really is impressive. Battery life is a product of what you're cutting and how sharp your chain is. I am going to convert to the smaller chain once the one it came with is done with. I cut up to 10" green read oak with it the other day dropping a few trees to open up around my sugar maples. It really did everything I asked it to. I don't own a better tool for clearing and dropping small trees and saplings. Its very easy to run with 1 hand while holding the tree or branch with the other hand. Easy for my son to learn on as well. Its even very convenient for rough carpentry work.
A week ago I got my 562 pinched on a tough dead-standing pignut hickory that carpenter ants got to. It was more rotten then I thought and my wedges couldn't lift the tree so it sat on bar. I didn't have another option so the 2500T undercut and back cut the 24" tree and dropped it. That really sold me on the saw.

First up trying a air filter update a guy showed in group.

1st pic his with the air filter and redneck on/off. It has to be cable style he used.

I tried that members cool Homelite filter idea on 2 saws so far. It isn’t just bolt on so far.

On cable style the PP260 used no place for cable to clip too. Prob work without having clip
Held to air filter base. But putting stock oem back on.

Then tried on linkage style. Still isn’t bolt on here on 2175. Can’t switch to on being in way there now. So going back to oem.

Just so folks know it prob work on some or made to work if you must have it updated.

The style he used looks looks cable style but not sure. Cable dont use the on/off master switch deal that goes across like linkage style I tried. So would have to work without the cable being on the air filter base like other style I tried too.

That looks like it'd be nice for tree pruning - but it's far to much $$!!
Yep agreed the older cheaper one is the gta 26 and they want 170USD for it bare no batts etc. Like homeowner 26 and pro 40 versions.

My dad and friend bought the off brand ones for like 50 shipped with 2 batts and charger and work fine for their uses.

I cant remember if I ask you this. Have you tried your echo 2500T oil cap from that saw onto any other saws?

Wondering if that cap fits 2511 or a fuel clone 2511 or smaller oil or even a 501 or 346 oil or fuel.
I listed like 3-4 different sizes there. So wondering on it.

Just always trying to think out of the box with stuff to try for others.

Husky be selling some caps with their screw in style flip caps. They thought ahead big time on theirs. Raking in that extra money. 👍
