For those of you with the diesel Kubota rtv: When you're out with it and let's say you're driving 100 yards here, 50 yards there, 400 yards there, on and on with maybe 3-5 minute stops after each short drive, do you shut the engine off at each 3-5 minute stop? Im talking about mid-temperature day, not trying to keep the cab cold or hot, engine is warmed up..
It's mixed for me. I do both, and don't think it matters much either way.

Me, too. I only stopped leaving it running to save the hour meter, LOL. I used to never shut it off, thinking that constant starts and stops would wear the starter out. However, in hot summers like the one we just had, it sure was nice to get back into a cold cab!

Yeah, same - mixed - under 5 minutes, leave it running. Otherwise, shut it down. I will admit I've replaced one starter...in 14 years and 2400 hours... But, a remarkably trouble free machine with good maintenance.

I think that's a pretty good track record if you ask me. :)
