What's the recovery process?
Had to hold the head in down position for many days was the hardest part. And also avoid lifting and straining for a long time until completely healed. In my case I screwed it up and had a second detachment that required another surgery to fix using a buckle around the eye ball to help hold it together. I guess the message is follow the advice for the recovery process to the letter.

, but...somehow has a live connection to track traffic, since it gives me traffic alerts.New stuff is likely all OTA.

Its uses RDS for the traffic. The new vehicles all use apple car play or the android equivalent, so you get to use google maps, Waze, or any other smartphone based app to play on the vehicles AV system. Essentially the best of all worlds, always up to date, no expensive OEM updates.

Do not see this style with wedges and no centers on the rims much any more. Aired up tires to 115 PSI.

I think my dislike for doing tire work goes back to changing tires on big trucks that used the split rings and no safety cage

Will see what may happen today. Hope wife can sleep in a little

My first real job (high school) was at a Firestone store, and we only did a few big truck tires. We used the cage, or maybe stuck it under a car lift. The real scary ones were those on delivery vans/trucks - 19" I think, where the wheel was actually split in half, not with a split ring (22" semi tires).

Morning all, 77 going to 88 and cloudy.
Went down to the river , hung out for a bit watching the women skullin around back and forth.
Picked up dinner and back home to watch a movie.

Today , branch and bush trimming, then off to the fair.

Gstrom99 - sorry to hear that you have retina issues, glad it's fixable. I am getting close to having the same issue in both eyes. Had to fire my current specialist as he over books and just was going through the motions. Need to find a better eye guy. My sight has good days and bad days.

Kyle - that is a heavy load, I guess all's you can do is support him as you always do and make sure he is rested.

Wagtail - let me know how you like the new naked gun. My uncles friend cast the airplane movies and worked with the original crews on Taxi and naked gun. Will be interesting to see if they can improve and modernize it without the usual preaching we see in many movies lately.

I use Android Auto in the new car, it works great, until it glitches sometimes.

Be well,

Lots of boats out last evening, a few pontoons and fishing boats too. The water is low enough people were jumping over the sides of the pontoon boats and standing in the water 50 feet or so from shore.

72 going to 89 with big H.

ponytug, are your Persimmons loaded this year?...mine are the heaviest I've seen, but the Walnuts and Pecans are nearly bare due to the late freeze we had. My dog Della is now loving the early persimmons she finds on the ground...I didn't think any animal ate them before the first frost. So, now I go pick them up before she gets to the tree where we walk.

FWT, glad your derm. test was negative for cancer.

Ken, glad you had a successful day wasting some time...you deserved it.

Happy Birthday, PJ, you youngster!

Happy 50th, B75!

Kyle, your son is definitely taking a big load at school. Maybe good getting these out of the way before full girl-crazy kicks in.

Buppies, sorry Holly had a bad day. Della still chase butterflies but after eating a swallowtail, doesn't try as hard.

My son came over yesterday to clear a lot of brush with me. Chain saws, pole saws and dragging small tree saplings to a pile...clearing an area where he placed a tree stand. He always picks the hottest most humid days...but we worked hard. Wife came home after 3 days baby-sitting. Nice to have her back.
Yes, ours are loaded this year, too. That's probably the result of two back to back wet winters. We have three different varieties; a Fuyu, a chocolate and a coffee cake, the latter two being hachiya astringent types that we are still learning how to pick / ripen without astringency. It has been a bit hit or miss for me, even when the fruit is so soft that it is melting. Fortunately, the birds like the leftover Hachiyas better than than the Fuyus.

Cloudy and cold, 57F, forecasted to be windy later, so high fire risk.

All the best,

Peter

Good Morning
76° and the sun has just burned through the clouds and fog. High in the upper 80’s and no rain in the forecast.

Yesterday was fun at the RC field, good turn out.

Did a few chores around here, did the biannual capacity check on the generator battery, it’s down to 460 cca from 550, my threshold is 450, so I made a note of the group and capacity so I will get a replacement at my convenience. Tracking its capacity extended the replacement to 6 years from the recommended 2 years without jeopardizing reliability.
While I was at the generator I reconfigured the WiFi to use the Mesh rather than the outside AP I installed years ago. It has an acceptable mesh signal out at the generator now from the she shed node and the present outdoor AP is going to be replaced with an outdoor mesh node shortly.

A friend is going to come over this morning, we’re talking about designing and building a crane for his dump truck. That will be a fun project if it happens. We also talked about pointing the little plane somewhere for lunch.

No music yesterday, maybe tonight, there is a Car Show in Perkasie if we don’t play music.

About the only thing I understood of that post was "WIFI", "she shed" and "generator". "Mesh" and "AP"? Nope. :D

I apologize for being a geek.
Mesh is a series of WiFi access points that create one unified coverage area. An AP is an access point.

Is it just me or is this post almost unreadable with all these emoji indications but no emoji shown;

"That’s a working" "Nott horse drawn steam engine converted to self propelled in" "with an American Lafrance Tractor"

Nice picture but.
