12 States to ban diesel vehicles

We`re getting closer to a time where we will not be the UNITED states much longer. Shall we have 50 countries instead of states?

Tax payer is not paying for it well not through taxes anyway it is funded through higher power charges my electric bill has gone up from NZ$100 a month (US$60) to NZ $130 (US78)

I use a ground source heat pump. I assume you use something similar. If so it is more efficient than mine since my electric bill is higher than that.

NZ is a temperate climate. I do not think they get the temp swings we see in the midwest. Even here in southern mo I've seen -20F and above 105F not counting heat index. I know they get extreme temps in the mountains but not many live that high up.

My next door neighbors in the rental house were from Cali.... and had that busy body attitude.

I had to stop by wife one night from going next door, ringing their door bell, and punching whichever one opened the door

Thinking back on it, i should have let her do it

It is true and I have had the police arrive several times over the years for just using my tractor and it’s happened to other family members taking out a dead tree…

Each case was resolved on the spot with police but such a waste of resources…

Firing up a chain saw or using a gas brush cutter can also trigger…

Pretty much always being watched by someone somewhere…

I do see a marked difference between say California and Nevada diesels.

I can not remember the last time I saw a California diesel truck of any size belch black smoke and hundreds go through Port of zOakland daily.

In one after noon on Nevada I saw maybe a dozen and these were not rust bucket trucks…

A heavy foot on the pedal corresponds to rolling coal.

gound source heat pumps are not common here just plain air to air work well in our climate and are much cheaper to install my power bill is low because heating is by a log burner

Locally, it's hard to find someone that can work on a geothermal heat pump. And if you purchased a home warranty, good luck filing a claim on it. It's pretty much a guarantee that they don't have a contractor that can work on them.

If you change out a window or sand the house trim to make ready to paint someone might very well call to make sure it’s done properly…

The tractor is about something could be getting ready to be built… where are the permits, etc…

Each year I have to freshen up our mandated fire trails… maintenance does not require a permit… but every couple of years someone makes the call…

I have the same problem here. The dealer for my furnace closed just after I bought the place. Next closest dealer is $300.00 in travel time each way. Twice since 2010 I've lost the motor when we had a power outage. Fortunately the local furnace guy could handle that. I've managed to fumble my way through all of the rest of the problems myself as they have been limited to water and air valves/switches.
