The new sediment bulb gaskets that I ordered from Amazon arrived today and I swapped one of them in. It looks like it’s holding. Other than some pretty rough looking front tires, this little baby seems to be in tip top condition right now.

Now that I know that it works pretty good on the two section drag, I think I’ll skip making an offer on the old blue painted Ford 9n, that I’ve been driving by every weekday, on my way home from work. It’s been out there for sale ($ 1k obo) for about 3 weeks now.

Having that little bit of extra free space in my barn is nice since I got rid of my 1951 Ford 8n, and I really don’t have enough free time to keep another old Ford gasoline powered tractor running properly, even if it is ok now (which I doubt very much or it would have sold by now).

I’m looking forward to
getting back out there on the Cub. I topped off the gas tank with ethanol free gas, and I have left the shutoff valve open, since I replaced the gasket at the sediment bulb. There’s still no leakage from that.

We’re supposed to get a littje rain next Wednesday. Hopefully, that softens up my dirt and gets the weeds going again, so I can get back out there with my two section drag. Everything is pretty much dried out and parched right now.
