She's pretty good at conveying what she wants with nudges and pointing.

And for God sakes, don't ignore her when she wants booty scratches. She gets down right demanding

She doesn't like snoring. It disturbs her beauty sleep. She will kick the ever living snot out of you if you snore.

If that doesn't work, she will get up in your face and start crying softly. Her nose about 2 inches from tour nose. That is a warning by the way.

If you dont wake up from that, you will get French kissed by her..... and that is a whole lot of tongue

I sleep on my side now with my face against the wall
You are talking about the dog and not the wife? 😁:ROFLMAO::D

Speaking of booty scratches, our dog is the same. He likes to have is butt rubbed and will dance in place if you get the right spot. He will have lift one leg after the other and kinda dance in one spot. Really funny to watch. :ROFLMAO:

Last night I got the howl, then the yips, then the bark.... followed by me finally sitting up and putting the foot rest down on the recliner leaning forward.

I said "What!!!!!!!!!"

She proceeded to dance around for a few, grabbed her ball for something to chew on, and then backed the booty up for scratches Did I mention she gets demanding????

We have a round donut-looking thing that's about 24" across and 10"high. There's a hole in one side the cats can go in and a small hole on the back they can reach in or out and beat each other senseless. They seem to like it.

Anyhow, the donut hole in the middle is a solid platform. One of our cats lays on it and watches the news in the morning with us. Really enjoys the graphics and the crawler across the bottom of the screen.

This morning, the weather lady came on screen and the cat pinned her ears back and stared at her! I guess she didn't like her dress or something. :ROFLMAO:

Henry was the strangest dog I ever had. This was doby mix from the pound.
With me, this dog cared nothing about fetch, commands, or frisbies and any sort of thing like that. I just figured he didn't do that sort of thing. Then I drove cross county to see my brother, and wife, and two nephews, that where 8 and 11 at the time.
this dog transformed in to an entirely different dog being with the kids. It was full on, and the dog loved the rough play they inflicted on him. Kids would say "sit"... the dog would sit. They would say "stay" the dog would stay. They would say "rollover," the dog would roll over. They would throw a ball, and the dog would bring it back like a border collie. They would fling a frisbie and the dog would chase and bring it back.
This dog NEVER did any thing like this with me. And when we got home, he didn't do any of this stuff again with me. It was just weird. :)

Perhaps he came from a home with kids?

My dog I rescued from the pound the day before they were going to put her down, would sit in the driveway and block the UPS, Fed Ex or Amazon driver until the driver opened the door and let her in. Then the driver would drive the 100 yards down the drive to the area he could turn around and back to my house to deliver my package. She would hop out of the truck when the driver got out to put the package on my porch, get a pat from the driver, and sit and guard the package until I picked it up.

I've spent my life living in old houses, and the one thing folks ask more than any other, when they hear I live in an old house, is... "is it haunted?"

Well, no. My current house is 290 years old, and it's not haunted. Sorry.

But I did live for a dozen years in a much newer 1870's house that almost certainly was, and the odd thing about it is that almost all of the "activity" we experienced there started and ended with the ownership of one dog. I hear this isn't uncommon, many people who claim to have experienced paranormal activity in a house have stated it started and ended with a particular resident's time there, most often children.

Anyway, this damn dog would routinely bark at someone in that house, acting the way a dog only does when somoene they don't like is standing directly in front of them, when no one was there. It was a regular occurrence, always in the dining room of that house, and not the random barking around doors and windows that'd happen when it might hear someone outside. This was focused agression on someone standing in the middle of the room, who wasn't there.

What made it even more odd, is that sometimes we'd hear someone or something banging around in the house in the middle of the night, and the dog would never respond to that. Sometimes we'd hear banging and thumping that sounded like someone doing construction work in the house, and the dog would just lie or sleep right thru it. I never understood that.

I had to get rid of the dog when my work situation changed, and kept me away from home too much to care for him. After that, most of the strange goings-on in that house stopped. I stayed there several more years.

Sorry, I know this is a pet thread, but my BIL is a UPS driver and he regularly delivered to a place that had goats that would climb into the truck as you describe.

As for pets, our dog, Redmond, gets jealous when my wife and I show attention to each other if he's not involved.

If we hold hands or even talk to each other, he gets between us. Just wants to always be part of the group.

I'll repeat a story about our German Shepherd from 2015. He was only about 6 months old at the time. We were sitting in the house in the evening when we thought someone was outside with a flashlight. We saw it moving passed our front window and around to the end of the house. Upon further investigation, we discovered that it was our Shepherd running around with a solar light in his mouth.
