That's rather scary. Two things I expect when driving; the steering wheel to send me in the direction I point it, and the brakes to stop me when I step on the pedal.

In the "good old days" they would simply send you a sticker to put on the dash;
"Warning, sudden brake failure may occur."

Honda just put out a recall on brakes too. Seems a pivot pin in the pedal assembly wasn't staked and can fall out rendering the brake pedal inoperable. Better order another couple of hundred thousand more of those stickers. :oops:

Ford has announced 70 + recalls this year. How in the world can a consumer have confidence in a company producing products affected by it.

Oh I know, Go to Chevrolet... NOT they don't take ownership of the 6.2L debacle as evidenced in the lets change the oil in your truck. No way I can trust them either.

Can't find a designated number for Ram.

It's a wonder they sell any of them now a days.

Modern cars and trucks have 246813579 more things to go wrong than one from the 1950's.

Yet the last 10 or so vehicles my wife and I have owned have gone over 200k miles with nothing but routine maintenance. Older vehicles were simpler and easier to work on which was a good thing because working on them was constant.

I really like my '19 just fine, no real itch to replace her. That's convenient, because my wallet would have words with me.

That new interior is some nice, though.

I hate how often I find myself saying this, but post-COVID manufacturing sure seems to be lacking.

So, if you're not supposed to drive it, does Ford pay for towing it to the dealer?
Or provide a replacement vehicle while yours sits?

I have had recalls and my dealer provided a loaner while my vehicle was out of service. Suspect that is dealer decision and not Auto company.

I passed a Superduty pulling a really nice 5th wheel camper on the interstate this morning. I confess I gave him way more room than normally needed before pulling back into the travel lane.

Unless I missed something, it seems like Ram is the only full sized truck which hasn't been reft with problems in the last 6 years or so.
