Spray On / Rinse Off cleaner and degreaser.

I don't disagree but the ground with its natural filtration sediments and its microbes are quite resilient and are a natural filter for even some of the worst chemicals. Water itself is the most used chemical solvent in the world. My well is 600ft with the water level around 250. The casing I...

Advice on Hydrostatic Transmission vs Gears

There's a new kid on the block in the Yanmar IHMT hybrid hydrostat transmission. It basically switches between hydo and full coupling depending on usage. Trust me, my YT359C with 59hp has no problem grunting into a pile with the loader and spinning tires... in 4x4. and with 59hp the trans put 52...

Converting manual sickle mower to hydraulic lift and position unit

I was interested in a sickle bar myself for around the pond but ended up installing a Laneshark. Now I know the OP isn't going to do this but I found the ability to flip the laneshark to the horizontal position it does a heck of a job clearing overhanging branches along our right of way. I then...

Spray On / Rinse Off cleaner and degreaser.

I won a bucket of accesories at a car show recently and in it was a bottle of Spray 9. It's my go-to now. Really dissolves the stuff. Mostly been using it to clean the grills in my electric smoker. When the bottle ran out I bought a one gallon refill on Amazon.

    Stuck, really stuck

Boards are your friend. Get as many boards and pieces of plywood you can find. Lift the outriggers and put wood under them to spread the pad out. I've done this with a full size backhoe that was nearly rolling over in the mud hole. The last thing I did was slide the outrigger along boards using...

    Ya gotta be careful

When driving long distances I get the zombie effect after about 7 or 8 hours. Coffee and energy drinks didn't help. But what I did find that worked for me was No Doze.

    YT359 Third Function Options

This is why many simply have it dealer installed. I also thought the instructions sucked but over the phone and email support was fantastic.

    YT359 Third Function Options

Not an expert. YT359C. I chose the WR Long system mainly because I like the full functionality as opposed to the diverter style. It allows simultaneous control. I purchased the valve kit through my dealer at the same time as the tractor and installed it myself. There is an existing weldment on...

Cleaning Under Zero-Turn Deck After Every Session: Really Necessary?

Oh but some here say they don't bother cleaning the deck LOL

Bought a new ZD1611 ZTR... overheated.

Ride quality on zero turns was a huge issue. Three years ago I bought a new eXmark Lazer X because up north all the landscapers used them so I figured they knew what worked for them. $14,000. OMG what a lousy ride. No suspension. Had a nice suspension seat but not air ride. I thought I was...

Cleaning Under Zero-Turn Deck After Every Session: Really Necessary?

Once you unfold the handle, make sure you push it in. That keeps the handle from articulating at that joint.

    Kubota M8 series engine

I just saw Kubota uses the Cummins 6.7L Turbodiesel for their 210hp tractors. Kinda tickles me as I own a 2004 Dodge Cummins.

My Backhoe needs and engine rebuild

To perform a paper towel test for fuel in oil, place a drop of used engine oil onto a white paper towel or chromatography paper, allowing it to absorb. If a light-colored, wider ring or halo forms around the main dark oil spot as it spreads, it indicates fuel in the oil, with the extent of the...
