Cleaning Under Zero-Turn Deck After Every Session: Really Necessary?

Still 20 acres is a lot for a zero turn. I've never seen anyone here in East Texas mow more than a few acres with one. All tractor stuff over a few acres. I only mow about 3-1/2 acres. Takes a couple hours and 5 gallons of gas. Hoping this new ZD1611 helps.

Just saw my first $80,000 lawnmower

These are commercial mowers. Geared more towards pristine sprawling acreage. I dont see understand the OP's point.

Bought a new ZD1611 ZTR... overheated.

The ZD1611 is much quieter than what most are used to. The new diesel has common rail fuel injection which, as you have noticed in new diesel pickups, much quieter than the old days. I'm guessing the alarm is probably pretty loud. I know my eXmark low fuel alarm was very loud and annoying.

Agree. Not saying I dont look at them but let's be honest. We dont look at them constantly.

Wow thats too much mowing. If it was me it would be hay to the highest harvester. And maybe mow a few.

Thing is we typically dont look at gauges unless we notice something isnt right.

Cleaning Under Zero-Turn Deck After Every Session: Really Necessary?

Good machines for sure but way too stiff on my property. Back to the original question. No not after every session. Depends on your type of grass and moisture. Nice dry grass doesn't accumulate as much but wet grass? Thats when I'll clean maybe every three cuts. Here in East Texas it doesn't...

Got rid of my 14k eXmark before I lost my kidneys. Contractors don't care because you know who's riding them.
