    rear wheel spacers

We have an old 2-wheel drive tractor that we've had 6 inch extenders on for years, and it has never hurt anything. I'm actually wanting to put Wheel extenders on my RK-55. I was thinking 3-inch, but now that I see pictures on here of someone with 4-inch on the RK37, I think 4 inch would be great!

    superior 394 sickle bar mower

Thanks, I have one more question, when you run your mower, does it sound like it's going to explode? I mean mine knocks like crazy. Almost sounds like it's hitting against a metal stop or something. It's just really noisy. Maybe I'm just used to my disc mower.

    superior 394 sickle bar mower

Thank you both for replying and it was helpful. I'm guessing you are using a feeler gauge to measure this with, am I correct? I think the .012 thousandths is a pretty tight fit. So with having two knife bars breaking and one guard bar breaking, I was thinking that there might not be enough...

    superior 394 sickle bar mower

I have a superior 394 sickle bar mower and I have broken a couple of the blade bars and one of the guard bars. I'm wondering if the friction tension is not set right on the bars? I'm not sure exactly what this is called, but I know there is a certain tension or friction these have to be set...

Anyone have 300+ hours on their RK55?

Just wanted to put in an update, I now have 414 hours on my RK55 Hydro and have not had a single problem as of yet. Although there may be a developing problem. I have noticed a little oil build up on the right rear tire. It looks like one of the rear seals might be starting to leak. Very...

gribaldi & salvia superior 394 problem

I know it's been a while since you posted this question, so I was just wondering if you got it worked out or not? I bought a used one this summer, and was using it just the other day and it broke just about where you described. Unfortunately the guard bar foot broke also. I ordered a new one...

Anyone have 300+ hours on their RK55?

I'm almost to 300 hours. I think it has 288 or so. I haven't had a lick of problems with my tractor. I use it mostly for brush hogging, mowing, and moving/loading hay. I run my tractor hard when I'm using it, because it's a hydrostatic. I've only had it for just over a year now. I actually...
