I didn't look through all the threads to see if this was here, but we have been using Oil Eater Cleaner Degreaser for several years now, since we have so much equipment to clean. It works on all kinds of grease issues. Amazon.com

Test drove used John Deere Gator 6x4, have questions

Sounds like it just needs a brake job. Pads are cheap, and if they need disks, it's not too bad either. It's an easy fix IMO. I saw this set on eBay, but I'm unsure if it's the same year and model, and thought I saw they were wet brakes. Front and Rear Brake Disc Rotors with Brake Pads for John...

I echo that. We use our UTV more than the Backhoe or skidsteer.

Test drove used John Deere Gator 6x4, have questions

Yeah, I worked on a similar style in Polaris, and it was not a fun experience. It did handle well in the mud, though, and like all the other UTVs....don't expect to get there fast

Test drove used John Deere Gator 6x4, have questions

As old as it is, those don't seem like hard fixes. Tires should be between $600-$1000. Sounds like it needs a brake job, and you'll need to diagnose the electrical issues. I have a Kubota RTVX 1100C that has a 24 hp diesel in it. It's not made for speed, but very strong. It says top speed is 25...

@Scottstc, we have a Kubota RTVX 1100 that is very easy to get into, and maybe you could find an older one that fits your price range. We used to have a Polaris Ranger, which was also easy to get in and out of, but there are a lot of choices out there. Those two brands are pretty reliable. Our...

DK 45 Losing Power under load

Had a very similar issue with our John Deere 333G Skidsteer. We changed all filters, air filters, blew out all lines, and still had the issue. Once we isolated each line, we determined it was the primary fuel filter housing, but it had a new filter cartridge in it. I pulled the housing from the...

Me, too. I only stopped leaving it running to save the hour meter, LOL. I used to never shut it off, thinking that constant starts and stops would wear the starter out. However, in hot summers like the one we just had, it sure was nice to get back into a cold cab!
