    Rocky trail mowing options

I thought about hitting it with roundup. Atv sprayers aren't too much money. At the same time, I want to attract deer and then eat them. Not sure roundup is best for that.

That's not what's needed. More like this. You're dealing with trails, roots, stumps and large rock. It's all 6"+. Nothing is getting buried by any machine. When they did the logging, they moved some granite blocks that were the size of a VW bug. Maybe I should turn it into a quarry instead...

Sadly there is so much granite, you're not clearing anything but getting down to more stone. Move a rock, see another rock. Little topsoil. And I have a pickup..but nothing that will transport a dozer.

    Rocky trail mowing options

No doubt. I think my next purchase will be a mini-x to better move rocks, dig ditches and build trails.

That's pretty cool.. My brush hog is definitely a unit. Very sturdy. This might be my best and cheapest bet.

    Rocky trail mowing options

Hey guys. I have a rather open ended question. Here is the situation. I have a 265 acre wooded property that I use for recreation (atv, dirt biking ect) and fall hunting. It is a hilly and rocky property and I'm trying to keep about 10 miles of trails relatively clear of tall weeds. Without...

Hydraulic oil question for you guys

Thanks for the post. I found that information the other day before I bought the oil. I guess the part I'm confused about is if the TF500 is a J20A, is there any harm in keeping it? And if the container itself says J20A, why do none of those cross over sheets list a J20A oil? Anyone know what...

Hydraulic oil question for you guys

Question for you guys..I have a Yanmar EX2900 with a hydro transmission and front end loader. 330 hrs. I did my 300hr service on it this past weekend and picked up vp racing lubricants ultra j20a. I neglected to read the fine print at Tractor Supply and it says for use in older pre 1990...

Help identifying part on my EX2900 Yanmar

Thanks. I think this is the direction i'm going to go. I don't mind fab'ing up something custom if I have to. Maybe this will be my excuse to buy a welder and put some threaded rod back to back to make my own turnbuckle. $200 would be insane for this. It has the look of $20. :)

Help identifying part on my EX2900 Yanmar

Hey guys. I bought my tractor used and the previous owner lost this threaded section on the other side. Naturally, you can't just replace it with threaded rod since it is reverse threads on half of it. I'll buy all the linkage here if i have to, but i'm having trouble identifying the name of...

Cub Cadet Yanmar EX2900 - equivalent, more common Yanmar model?

Hey guys. I love my 2009 EX2900 with an FEL. I'm looking to add a backhoe and my research on aftermarket is just hard to find. My engineering brain is a bit of an overload. Clearly, this tractor is made by Yanmar. Is it an exact equivalent to a Yanmar model that would give me many more...

    Attachments for trail maintenance?

Hey guys..I'm new here and new to tractors in general. I work on everything myself and love to learn. My family recently logged our 275 acres and we had the loggers bulldoze miles of trails before they left. The trails are still pretty rough (roots poking out, rocky soil and some muddy...
