Cleaning Under Zero-Turn Deck After Every Session: Really Necessary?

I’ll try and get under to clean as often as I can but that’s realistically about once a month or maybe every 10 hours or so.

    new saw

I think it depends on budget. If you have the budget a Stihl 500i would be my choice, but for a bit less an Echo 7310 is a nice looking saw. I haven’t run one, but I’ve run a 620p and I wouldn’t run anything more than a 24” bar on it. Felt sluggish compared to my Stihl 400c.

    Ego string whacker review?

Not ego, but I have three Milwaukee M18 string trimmers and they are all fantastic. I got the original, then added an attachment capable one with a few different attachments and just got the bicycle handlebar brush cutter for comfort when all I’m doing is string trimming. I have a greenworks...

Sthil Commercial Line Trimmers with 4 Cycle engines (still require 50:1 fuel/oil mix) - any experience

I have a HT103 pole saw I bought new in 2018 and it’s been fantastic. I use canned fuel as it’s not used weekly over the summer and I’ve adjusted the valves once. It always starts and runs well. Some common complaints of the 4 mix are due to the weight. For trimmer, I went with a Milwaukee...

What machine, or equipment, can mow an uneven grassy pasture the fastest? Zero Turn?

My yard is pretty bumpy and uneven after having heavy equipment on it for the past 5 years and just finishing filling in about 80 holes from where the dead ash stumps were removed and chips hauled away. It was bad enough even my lawn tractor would cause pain and discomfort. I just got a Ferris...

    Ultrasonic cleaner recommend?

I have two Vevor ultrasonic cleaners. Both work well, but I haven’t used any others to compare them too. The first one I got for Christmas a couple years ago and it is the digital style and came with a spinner for vinyl records. I honestly haven’t used it for other things even though I’d like as...

I keep breaking 1/2 ratchets on my lug nuts.

Get yourself a breaker bar and only use your 6’ cheater bar with that if you need. I’ve never broken a HF or Craftsman breaker bar and I have both. Once you break the lug loose then switch to your ratchet. My favorite ratchet for lug nuts is my Gearwrench 120xp 1/2” flex head long handle. I...

Looking at buying a Massey Ferguson 1825e or Kubota LX2610

Most 4-5’ 3pt tillers should work.

Buying Advice Questions about potential purchase, not sure where to start

For your use case I think a subcompact like a BX or 1 series JD will be perfect, but u might want to look up a size or two just to get a feel for size. Tractors are directly capable to their size and weight. The heavier they are the more muscle they have for projects like moving dirt, pulling...

    Kubota Treadle Pedal...

I don't have any complaints with the treadle pedal on my b2601 after over a year.

Do any of y'all seal, wax or ceramic coat your tractor??

First thing I did when I got my B2601 last year was to hit it with my foam Cannon, rinse it off then apply CarPro Hydr02. It's a simple spray on, spray off sealant.

    Lowe’s carrying LS?

I haven't seen an LS at a Lowes near me. Runnings has finally started carrying Summit tractors and I've walked by a couple out front, but not looked too closely at them. TS doesn't sell them nearby. When I was tractor shopping I quickly ruled out LS as they are sold by the local dealer that...

    Ballast box opinions

Fill the box with bricks or gravel that way you can empty it if needed. You can always add cement later. Mine is filled with bricks simply because they were on sale making them cheaper than other options at the time. Spring BF is right around the corner and .25 bricks ftw.

Buying Advice Looking to buy my first tractor

Yeah, I just glossed over Willys post since they clearly didn't read what came before. I really liked the Yanmar and almost went with a SA325. The price was right, it was comfortable, included the rear remotes I wanted. Dealer was one of the better ones, but still about an hour away and the...

    Looking for a log splitter

My countyline from TSC has been a solid unit and has split cord after cord. It’s easy to start and works well. It works vertically, but I almost never use it this way. I pull it around my property, but the wheel bearings can’t handle speed and I think it’s rated at like 25mph max so it should...
