I think it took about 6-8 weeks total to get the thing back. I had to deliver and pick up the mower to/from the shop at my own expense, but otherwise it didn't cost me anything. I received a new battery at about 26 hours total time on the machine. Since then, it has been rock solid, except...

So now I'm toward the end of my third season with this thing and it has been great this year. No issues at all with mowing a 3/4 mile trail every so often and the 20,000 sq. ft. lawn every 4 days or so. Nice not to have to do any maintenance other than sharpening and a little grease. Not...

And then it happened to me. After my third mowing this season, I charged the unit as usual. When I went to put it away, it would suddenly shut off after 5 seconds no matter what I did. If I was quick, I could get the blades to kick in or get it to move before it shut off, but it still shut...

I haven't had any issues with the pedal being "touchy" or the speed being too fast. However, I went to move the unit today and it shuts off after 5 seconds. I called the service tech and it looks like I'm going to have to bring it in to a dealer for repair. Bummer. I have no idea why this...

Hmmm. That’s a new one for me. I just did my first mow yesterday after storing it all winter and didn’t have any issues. Please post an update when you get it figured out. A problem I often have is my knee bumps the key and shuts the unit off occasionally.

    New LT42e owner.

Hi all, I'm new to the cub cadet pages on this site having just purchased the all electric LT42e XT1 to replace my 2008 John Deere LA145 with a 48" deck. The old deck finally rusted completely through, and as replacement decks are hard to find, I decided to trade up. So far so good. I mow a...

    Finally built me a woodshed.

I've had some leftover lumber and plywood from when the house was built four years ago. I've been meaning to do this sooner, but you know how that goes. I ended up buying new 2x4's for the rafters as the ones I had were starting to rot; tarps always leak eventually. I had some split cedar 8...

1000g propane tank floated out of the ground.

So I spent the money on a 1000g propane tank last summer and had it buried with about a foot of sand all around it. A couple of months ago we had a very rainy stretch in Western Washington. The tank had right about 490 gallons in it and the bugger floated out of the ground! I'm not sure what to...

BX 3PH lower link wrench size.

Hello all, I need help on a quick question. I'm miles away from my tractor at the moment and want to buy a ratcheting wrench to adjust my lower links (turnbuckles) on my BX24 3 point hitch. Does that take a 17mm or 19mm? I've searched and searched the net and youtube and can't find the...

    Removing FEL hyd line.

I have a leaky hose on my BX-24 FEL. It leaks where it connects to the tractor and I would love to be able to overhaul the end pieces, but I can't get them loose for the life of me and I'm almost stripping one of the nuts. My next strategy is to detach the line from the FEL, take it to a...

BX-24 and Bro-Tek thumb vs. stump

This cedar stump took me about 2 hours to dig out several weeks ago. I finally got around to moving it today. I couldn't lift it with the loader and didn't want to drag it and scrape up the lawn. I finally managed to grab it with the backhoe and the thumb. I had to have a big rock in the...

No forks, but the tooth bar works!

I had to move a 400 pound generator by myself and came up with a rope and wood frame combo. At first I thought I was going to use the backhoe and some sort of crossbeam to lift the thing, then I though I could just hook the ropes on the tooth bar teeth and I was good to go. It would have been...

I nominate myself for the Darwin award...

So earlier I elected to have these crates moved rather than destroyed, thinking they would come in handy as a shed or a playhouse. Well, these eyesores had to get moved again as the housewarming party is this Sunday. I was planning on destroying one of the three, then moving the other two...

Mowing  Need a mower and some persuasion.

We just moved into our new house and are puttitng in about an acre and a half of lawn. We have a BX24 and were wondering what the best solution for a mower would be. The MMM is about $2000 as I understand it. For that money you can buy a brand new riding lawn mower and not have to worry about...

    Some BX Rock/Thumb work.

I'm finally getting the swing of the new thumb. I dug out several rocks this size... Then this rock I was able to lift out of the hole, but the boom wouldn't budge when I tried to lift it. I was able to drag it about 10 feet; the tractor had it almost off the ground. I then picked it up with...
