James - no I have not yet got the necessary tool that will turn my toplink under tension. It is a Massey Cat II OEM toplink. I will check the Agco parts book to see if they have anything that will torque it. Anyway here is a picture (you'll have to zoom in a bit to see a close up).

So I looked at the manual and it definitely has the hydraulic oil filter mentioned on the underside of housing. I guess that the mechanic who serviced it just couldn't find it in the Op manual. Here is a picture of it.
