74 hp skid vs 74 hp hoe for building tiny acreage?

For me a skid steer is way too difficult to get in and out of for chores. I often use loader controls from the ground rather than climbing on and off the tractor as I am usually alone. If you have a helper to do the ground work so you can stay in the seat for 10-15 minutes at a time it is a...

How to back up a pivoting axle trailer

I did not read all the responses but I own many wagons. It is much easier if there is little to no play in the steering. In general you only need to back up straight so the secret is to stay on top of correcting the steering.

    What happened to Massey Ferguson?

My neighbours 1758 has endless problems with the DPF regen, it costs a few hundred every time they collect it. This fall they sent the dpf off for cleaning, hopefully he will have a trouble free year or even two!

    What happened to Massey Ferguson?

I wonder how long the tech will spend trying to find the port for his laptop on your MF50!

    What happened to Massey Ferguson?

I am sure they have some good models but to me it is not worthy of brand loyalty when the same tractor is sold with different paint and decals.

    What happened to Massey Ferguson?

To my mind MF no longer exists as a manufacturer who even owned Perkins at one time. Today it is just a brand name belonging to AGCO and they paste it on to whatever tractor they please. I have heard them say it is used on their premium line of tractors along with the bright red paint.

    Asian front rim bolt pattern.

I have a 2003 Jinma 304 4x4 tractor with 7.50-16 front tires. I am missing a front rim. It is a 6 bolt rim but not a standard agricultural 6 on 6'' pattern. I am pretty certain that other 30hp import tractors must use this bolt pattern but I do not know how to search for them?

Publishing Loader Capacity Numbers That Far Exceed The Capacity Of The Axles

you missed a great opportunity to measure weight at various heights all the way to the top. you did not put weight on the 3pt either!

    loader quick attach

yes I went ahead and ordered a set before getting a lot of feedback here. You can find them for 6oo dollars if you try but I don't have faith they will be better than the cheapest. I will start with making an adaptor for my little mf 135 and see how they work.

    loader quick attach

Buy local often means buying imported things from a middle man who had the foresight to source them. I find quick attach harnesses to be expensive because they weigh about 50 lbs, all steel, and sell for 1500 dollars. I have a full fabrication shop so I tend to look at material cost when pricing...

    loader quick attach

Thank you. You mean to stop the bucket from dumping past a certain point? None of my loaders have that. When lifting the front of my tractor I like to dump to the point that the bottom of the bucket is 45 degrees past vertical and the face is planted against the ground. I often use the bucket to...

    loader quick attach

You use these inexpensive attachments? They seem strong enough? What do you mean by the bucket rolling too far over? My snow bucket has a rounded back that works beautifully causing the snow to roll out in front of the bucket. I was thinking of leaving it as a pin on because welding a plate to...

    loader quick attach

I don't understand why quick attach adaptors are so expensive to buy. Has anybody built their own?Am I missing something? I recently bought a new grapple bucket meant for a skid steer and would like to use it on my farm tractors. I found these inexpensive parts available to speed the project...

Built myself a dumping flatbed trailer.

Nice looking trailer, a major project. Can you swap out the axles for 12k at some point? Do they use the same width of frame? I did not see a length of the deck? It would be very easy to over load with machines, hay or firewood let alone soil or stone.
