Good to know why my original Exide looked like a leaky mess that ate up the holddown and required a clean up of the tray. I chose to replace mine with a group 30 battery which required a change from post clamps to eyelets. A stainless steel holddown replaced the original. Tractor cranks much...
I can't believe in 9 pages of posts that no one has suggested putting an amp clamp on each brake and comparing the readings. Someone suggested that each wheel should draw around 3 amps. If one or two wheels are low, then focus your attention there first looking at each ground or splices at...
I haven't seen one of those for years. The box on the floor is a control valve for a hydraulic spreader control. The spreader would slide into the dump body and connect through the valve body to a hydraulic pump mounted on the engine. The knobs control an auger belt that feeds material to a...
Why can't a torque wrench be checked at home by clamping a deep socket in a vise and hanging a known weight from the wrench handle then do a little math to convert to inch pounds or foot pounds?
Maybe look into a custom radiator manufacturer. In the past, I have had good luck looking through catalogs pages comparing dimensions and hose connection sizes and locations. Griffinrad.com may be a starting point. Summit racing may have a link to catalog listings also.
I've been following this thread and I'll add my 2 cents. I bought a 1533 gear new from a dealer who has since dropped the Mahindra line. Out of warranty, the MIL light started flashing and has been every start up for over a year. I have not experienced the power loss that appears to be a...
I had the same problem from water intrusion and it was confined to the tilt cable. After a couple attempts to half fix it, I took the whole assembly from the stick to the valve body apart and removed the sticking cable. Lightly clamped in a vice, I worked the cable up and down while shooting...
Had the same issue with my 1533 (obviously a much smaller machine) and found it was tucked into the wiring harness on the left side of the engine. With everything being painted black including all the wiring, it was difficult to find. Mine uses a standard 16 pin OBDII connector. I also have a...
I added bolt on hooks at the outside edges of the top and welded up a 2 inch receiver that bolts to the tractor frame for spotting a trailer or heavy pulls. The pull is more in line with the axles. Too easy to bend the top of the bucket with a center hook.
