What is some of your Pet Peeve's

My last truck was an '02 Dakota, no ashtray there. Don't think my old '90s vintage Grand Cherokee had one either.

I mow mine at about that height too, though a big part of the reason is that most of it is uneven and there are enough high spots or rocks for the blade to hit. Grass itself grows quite evenly, it doesn't get scraggly like it did at my last place. Wife keeps telling me to cut it shorter so I...

    I'll just have water

Maybe it's just what you get used to, but I find clothes smell better when line dried. From a dryer they just smell like lint. I suppose that's why they make scent beads to put in your washer...

Anyone else have an unusually large number of hummingbirds this year?

We've also seen an increase in them this year, we did move the feeder. We'll see 4 or 5 of them buzzing around it at times, NEVER saw that many at one time before. This is also the first year I've had to refill the feeders because they were empty...usually it gets changed because it's been...

I'm glad the option to pay bills online exists, and I'll use it from time to time myself, but autopay? No way.

I'm not a "conspiracy" kind of guy, but as WinterDeere noted, this makes no sense. While first class mail has declined, parcels are making up an increasing percentage of what the USPS delivers. If anything, you'd think they'd conspire to slow things down to get voters to get after their...

Here it's Dunkin' Donuts. Always a long line at the drive-thru, and not much shorter inside. We don't even have a dryer. It's either clothesline in good weather or a wood rack in the same room as the woodstove in the winter.

Most of the towns around here have the recycling center at the transfer station. You have to pay to drop off trash, electronics or white goods but recylables are no charge. Seems to work well enough. Here we have to use special "town" bags that you can purchase at either town hall or at the...

Lever-style door handles always seem to get me. Catch a belt loop on them.

What is it with all the distracted driver lately.

I gave up riding for the same reason. Just too many crazy, inattentive drivers. I will admit there have been times I've almost not seen a biker when pulling out of an intersection myself.

Voice control means the vehicle is always listening. To every conversation in the vehicle. And doesn't that technology require the vehicle to send your command back to the mothership where it's translated into a command the vehicle understands? Nope. Not for me. Same reason I refuse to have...

What is it with all the distracted driver lately.

It's bad enough that we're under constant surveillance wherever we go. Just what we need is even more of it. Is there anyone among us who has never done anything sketchy behind the wheel, even unintentionally (ie-fiddling with digital dash crap and wandering a bit, etc.) or maybe being fed up...

    I'll just have water

I would have been in my early 20s at the time, so don't know about kids' clothes. Pretty stupid idea for mens' clothes too. These weren't jeans, these were what would be considered business casual today. Fortunately, that fad didn't last long. Who thinks to check and see if pants have pockets...

I used to see teachers/college professors wearing jackets like that, almost never in the business world.

Must have an old car. Haven't one with an ashtray in decades.
