Last year acquired a Kioti tractor from out of state. But I traveled and checked the equipment before signing the paperwork -to me, this is a must.

That equine discount is not being honored 100%, at least in my area. They list an increased MSRP and then apply the "Equine" discount. The tractor-buying experience is becoming worse than buying a car.

I concur that it was available, but good luck getting a "TRUE 20%" discount. I tried that with multiple dealers, and the best I got, once you compare prices was 9%. Local/family-owned dealers are rare in my area, and big franchises are destroying the market.

A sub-compact will be too little of a machine for the work. Not that it won't complete some of the tasks, but it will take you longer, and you will repent from your decision by doing some of the more challenging work. I won't recommend either, especially since you are replacing an Oliver 1600...
