Awesome, thank you for the info!

    Your last generator Maintenance Run

I’m sure it is. This size of generator is not for the faint of heart in regard to operating costs. My machining business uses about 2/3 of the rated output on a normal day. Shutting down the shop is much more expensive than the fuel usage that we’d encounter. I am looking for a suitable load...

    Your last generator Maintenance Run

Yes, that trailer was quite a score as well. That whole setup is heavy. The old deuce didn’t like pulling it up the hills very much!

    Your last generator Maintenance Run

It’s a Mack E7, 360HP. Made in 1999, no emissions and is mechanically injected.

    Your last generator Maintenance Run

Finally found a suitable back up power source for my machine shop. A local municipal agency sent this to auction and I picked it up for what I feel was a steal. 325KW, 3 phase. Total hours are just under 600. We are right in the middle of forest fire country, so the planned outages are...

    Quick Hitch frustration (newbie)

The only way this works: The owner's manual talks about these links, I made mine. 5-1/2 spacing on the holes.

    Quick Hitches Quick hitch

Here's my simple fix that allows me to use a brush hog on a LP quick hitch: Note- distance between holes is 5-1/2 inches.

Snow Tractors and the Blizzard of 2017...

We've had much more snow than normal here in western Oregon. My son came home from college for a few days and while he was able to drive 150 miles on paved roads with no problems, he couldn't make it up our driveway even chained up. I needed to start the dozer anyhow so I drug his car up to...

Ford Tractor photo thread, lets start one!

Here's my mom and dad gathering small square hay. Mom is on the 1920 pushing bales into groups of 8 with a homemade accumulator. My dad is picking up the bales with the 7840 using a homebuilt hay grapple. My dad is a very smart man. What you don't see is that I am above them cutting another...

    L Series owners

Not a great picture, but I just replaced my BX-2370 with a new L3901. I'm not overly excited about having a final tier 4 machine, but odds are it'll be fine. For a basic little tractor, I think it's pretty nice. I'm hooking my chipper up to it this weekend and we will see how it does.

Grapple Which Grapple Root or Claw???

I bought this one from Anbo. Not cheap but its tough as nails. In 3 years of pretty hard use, I've only broken one hose. It is pretty heavy for my M7040.

SxS - Polaris General vs Ranger vs Others

I bought a General about 4 months ago. I like it a lot. It doesn't have the fit and finish like a Honda or Yamaha but its very comfortable, rides great, has a lot of power, and is very work and play capable. I was close to buying a Pioneer 1000 as I'm a long time Honda guy. The Pioneer just...

Useful life of a CAT excavator

I would agree with Eddie. My dad and I bought this machine for farm work, 8500hrs. It's certainly not new but it has served us well for our projects. We looked at quite a few machines and found a number of machines with 12k + hours that still ran fine. We also found a few w/ 4K that were...

Any recommendations for a car lift?

I put a lift in my shop a few months ago and went with an Atlas 14K 4 post. So far it's been flawless. The directions that came with it were terrible however. The quality is decent, probably comparable to any other Chinese lift. It'll lift my Ram 3500 6.7 and my Kubota M7040 with ease.

Small Dozer under 10,000 lbs ... do they exist?

I have a Komatsu D21, mid 1990's vintage. My dad has a late 70/s JD 350C and I like the Komatsu better. Parts are easy to get, it sips fuel, and the blade controls are very quick and precise.
