Kubota RTV X1100C -- anybody regulary sit 3 people across on the seat?

Hey guys - Owned a bunch of UTV's over the years (several arctic cats and polaris models etc) and looking at getting a Kubota RTV. tired of always fixing broken cheap parts and dealing with dealers that aren't worth a darn. Question -- In our rangers, we would be able to fit me/wife/2 kids...

    Replacing a JD1209 swather...

Currently using a Farmall 75C to pull a JD 1209 swather that I got cheap several years ago. It works good enough, but if i speed up it leaves far too much grass below the cut. Tax accountant says we should buy something too.... Looking for recommendations for a pull-behind discbine/flail...

Farmhand 8-bale grapple weight -- trying to size a skid loader

Been using a large tractor/loader with the farmhand 8-bale grapple to move and stack bales. Going to add a skid loader to the fleet soon to assist with stacking in tight quarters and speed things up. Our bales vary from 50 to 85 pounds, depending on many factors.....so i can do that math...

Stemmy, overgrown hay field -- weed free, but too stemmy.... advice ?

Hi All... Due to rain and my 'real' job, i wasn't able to get into all my fields as early as i should have. Some fields got an early first cutting -- about a month ago. Horses are loving the grass and leaving no waste. I just cut a field last weekend and the horses are being picky. Wasting...

Inline Baler + Old Farmhand Accumulator ?

I got a new massey baler this year, replacing a NH273 that i had mated up with a farmhand accumulator. I had the accumulator running from a pump driven by baler flywheel. I've baled all of my fields without using the accumulator so far this year. I have one flat, square field yet to hay again...

2016 Hay season started for me.

Used the old farmhand grapple to stack hay in my barn for the first time. After some learning, it went pretty well. Much easier and cleaner than throwing the bales down and stacking them manually. I need to get some more hooks for it so I don't have to pay so much attention when lining things...

    inline baler vs 'conventional' baler....

Background: I cut and bale somewhere between 70 and 85 acres of grass hay for my wife's horse boarding operation yearly. Currently running a NH273 and a very 'touchy' farmhand accumulator that i did eventually get running last year. Last year I put up somewhere around 2200 square bales...

Deere 1209 MowCo -- Tighten reel drive chain?

Hi Everyone --- I have a manual on the way....but I'm having trouble with the chain that drives the reel on my 1209 MowCo. It's quite loose, so loose that i can take it off the sprockets with my bare hands. When I get into thick hay, it jumps off. I see an adjustment for the space between...

answer my own thread.... the best way to mount is to just drill holes and mount the pump so it's aligned with the flywheel.

Farmhand Accumulator Pump + New Holland Baler = Best Way to Mount ??

Hi All - farmhand accumulator and grapple were delivered yesterday...grapple is in the shop getting a SSQA mount plate attached so i can get it rolling. I have the pump for the accumulator and I think the best way for me to get it working is to get some V-belts and run the pump from the baler...

NH 273 Feeder Fingers - order and placement ?

Hi All - When I bought my NH273 baler it only had 3 feeder fingers in the chamber. I moved them around and adjusted things to get good "non-banana" bales and all is well. This year I bought 6 new fingers to install. There are two long ones, two short ones, and then a pair of curved with one...

Transporting "new to me" hay equipment...

Hello All -- Upgraded from a Kubota 3540 to a Case Farmall 75C just a few weeks ago... looking to upgrade from my small drum mower and side delivery rake... I found a John Deere 1209 swather and a 10-wheel V-rake that is decently priced but he's about 70 miles away. I have a 25-foot flat car...

    Need a ~60 horse tractor.......ready set go!

Hello All -- A few years ago I bought a Kubota L3540 tractor for our small acreage and small horse boarding operation. Fast forward to now, and after a severe drought several years ago, I bought hay equipment (drum mower, rake, NH273 baler) and I've leased close to 50 acres that I cut and...
