There are a lot of good deals around but the best I've seen this year is a sale at ACE hardware on Stanley folding sawhorses a pair of horses for $9.99.
HF sells some lame ones for about $8 each These Stanley ponies are high quality and very sturdy for plastic sawhorses.
My neighbor is clearing some 12"-14" dia. Poplar trees for a garden plot. The stumps themselves are not near as difficult to remove as the large roots. Most of these trees have 4-6 large lateral roots, most are as big as the trunk of the trees themselves.
