@kbn70 Its reasonable in July I bought a NX5510CH (Cab Hydro) with loader because its all any dealer knew they were going to get in.
I added two additional rear remotes and the third function among several other things.
Mine has the R14 ballasted and the wheels set in the widest position. It...
21’ NX5510 with loader was $39k end of July. The equivalent DK Built the same was only $2k less, was a no brainer.
I wanted the NX6010 but the dealers didn’t know when they would get one and there was a 5510 available that day. I didn’t haggle I knew it wasn’t going to do any good right now.
I’ve had better luck with the Stihl brand oils than a lot of the others, they seem to be slightly less viscous and make their way to the chain. I don’t think “bar oil” even existed when the Macs I use were made. They all have “Use 30w oil” or something to that effect on the “bar oil” cap...
Disclaimer: This is just my experience I’m not trying to convince anyone of anything. Y’all are grown you can make your own life choices and it won’t affect me in any way.
I’m using full chisel, I make my own chains. The newer saws run at higher rpm and don’t have the torque of the older saws...
My NX5510 had some shipping damage on the hood and the latch was bent. As hard as it is to find a tractor right now I didn't argue too much and I got a "free" rear remote out of it.
Got it home and uses a pry bar to "Adjust" the latch so it would latch correctly and stay locked. Haven't had...
I replaced the factory bar on my 455 with an oregon bar...the oiler holes didn't line up and I had oiler issues took me a while to figure it out. .
I replaced the oiler and messed with oil, ruined a couple of chains and the bar.
I ALMOST threw it away i was so mad.
I decided that for a 50cc saw...
I messed up and didn’t confirm the door was latched before I started down the road with it on the trailer. I always check it and lock it as a way to confirm.
Found out a family member passed last night and mind wasn’t on my normal checklist.
I need to find just the glass and door handle...
I have a few spots on hills on the side of my drive/shop that a light duty brush cutter mounted on the FEL would be nice and make my life a lot easier, rather than using a weed eater with a saw blade. It’s just briars and tall grass but would just be tall grass if I could keep it cut.
I’m...
NX5510 HST Cab....my 2 auto regens have both been right at 45 and 47 hours using a rotary/flail/finish at PTO RPM with maybe 15 hours of each cycle using the grapple, land plane, or other ground implement with the linked pedal function.
I picked up a scratch and dent 80gallon tank/toolbox combo for $600, the toolbox was banged up but the tank is pristine. They had locked it and lost the keys, I drilled it open and found a GPI 8gpm pump and filter inside.
If it’s like a sweetgum I’d rather be kicked in the balls by an angry horse than try to dig it up with a TLB.
I resorted to a D6 with a ripper after a full day for 1 stump.
Already have the QH, its not too bad except with the flail since its more tightly packed right at the hitch pins. I prefer not wrestling the arms and adjusting them side to side and in and out to make everything line up. PTO shafts will always make me want to buy multiple tractors and leave...
