    Older International 354

Your selling price will be determined by condition, location, and urgency to sell. Tractorhouse.com will give you and idea of comparable tractor prices. If you try to sell as is, expect no more than half of what it would bring if it starts and runs. Setting 10 years, definitely needs a battery...

NEW BUYER IN TENNESSEE AND NEED OPINIONS

Rule of thumb is 8hp per foot of cutter. The bigger tractor you can get, the better if tight areas are not a problem. If you need the extra power in the future, you got it. People got by for years without 4wd equipment. 4wd drive anything is handy but not always needed. 4wd equipment will...

    Goats for a clean pond?

The main thing with pond levy maintenance, (keeping it from growing up) is don't make it too steep. Feather it out into the field so a riding lawn mower can cut the grass if necessary. Most livestock will avoid steep banks.

    What is leaking?

If you see a spray, your leak is on a pressure line not a return line. Have your wife get down close when you activate and see where the leak is. Good luck.

Grease - is there no better way? Can we talk about this?

Regular maintenance, greasing, changing oil, and checking air pressure in tires is the life of a machine. The electric grease gun is easier for me. One hand to hold the long hose on the zerk, the other to pull the trigger. Some of my equipment have zerks you can see but are hard to reach and...

    Bill of sale from dealer

It's sad and really disheartening when a forum such as this to share information or advice to help someone that may be in doubt or in a spot where they need help becomes a battleground to exchange insults and insinuations. Opinions are like noses and other familiar body parts, everyone has one...

    Bill of sale from dealer

Based on the original post, that is exactly what happened. He bought a tractor and got a receipt. The business, guy, or whoever sold the tractor is not the issue. The issue is having documentation to prove the tractor, truck, gun or whatever the item in question is belongs to him. I was a...

Grease - is there no better way? Can we talk about this?

Too much grease is messy, but the worst thing is you can damage or even push a grease seal out. The fitting should always be wiped clean before greasing. Dirt on the fitting can be pumped into what you are greasing and damage a bearing.

    Bill of sale from dealer

You are taking a lot of things for granted that have not been disclosed. In a business deal nothing should be taken for granted. The days of a handshake and a man's good word are long gone. Buyer beware.

Grease - is there no better way? Can we talk about this?

A grease gun is one of the most profitable tools you can have if you use it often and correctly.

    Bill of sale from dealer

The man said he received an unsigned receipt, not a bill of sale. There is a difference.

    Bill of sale from dealer

We are talking business here not trading pocket knives. In the event (hypothetically), you have to prove ownership, your paperwork better identify your item, be it a tractor or a Rolex, than just state red tractor or gold watch.

    Bill of sale from dealer

Depends on the dealer. Reputable, established, new? Better have the serial # or some identifiable mark included.

Low or no hydraulic pressure, I change the hydraulic filter. If it doesn't help it doesn't hurt either.
