Correct, trying to figure out the best way and if the newer JD style would fit my pins with the older 146?

Loader JD 2240 FEL quick attach help

I would like to keep it as cheap as possible! LOL Sure, send the link. Thanks. Was hoping JD made a part or could get some take offs from newer JD, but not sure if the carriage will fit.

Loader  JD 2240 FEL quick attach help

Hello all, I have an older 2240 with 146 loader. The bucket is pin style, but would like to convert it to quick attach to I can get some pallet forks, as I use them more. What would be the best route to covert? Thanks.

    JD2240 Utility

So picked up the tractor yesterday. It does not have the hi/lo on the left side. Looks to have just throttle on right of steering wheel, hi/low/reverse on left and gears on right stick. Anyone happen to know the shifts patterns?

I don’t see a left lever of the steering wheel in the pics they sent. But will find out tomorrow.

    Metal shavings in hydraulic fluid???

Thank. I bought it used from a owner 6 years ago out of town. Tractor doesn’t get used too much and has been deff over due for flush/change. I am thinking it’s from someone trying to change gears (A/B/C) while it’s in motion as it’s a Hydro. I’ve let buddies borrow it and heard it grind before...

    Metal shavings in hydraulic fluid???

Not 100% on hours. I’m second owner. Maybe 1500 hours or so. The meter doesn’t work too well. First time I have serviced myself. No one ever mentioned it before.

    Metal shavings in hydraulic fluid???

So I went to change out all hydraulic fluid today. When I got to the screen it is a bit concerning as there are shavings and chunks of metal! Lots. Should I be concerned? ‘01 JD 4300 hydrostat

JD 420 Loader bucket cylinder drops

I tried the test today. Unfortunately, its still so wet out and I dont have anything close to load. But I drove the tractor up and down the drive with the forks on it, as it seems to be heavier than the bucket. It didnt seem to move much. But once I started hitting the bumps it started to...
