Well, this has turned into an adventure. I was able to remove the battery and tray without removing the front-end-loader.
Imagine my surprise when the fuel injectors I ordered did not fit the tractor. The cover on the tip was a different size.
When I called the parts people they asked me to...
Thank you tractor tech.
Even with the FEL fully raised there is not enough clearance to swing the battery tray out because of the side braces.
Looks like taking the battery out is my only option.
Having watched a wonderful video on replacing the fuel injectors on a Ford tractor, see , I decided that would be my next project.
Imagine my surprise when I went to swing out the battery box and realized the front-end-loader was in the way.
If I take the battery out can I get to the injectors...
The right front tire on my Ford 3930 has a slight leak. I add air about once a week to keep the pressure at about 36psi.
I have noticed that the side wall flexes and it loses most of its air when turning.
Is that the sign that the tire (about 5 years old) has lost the will to live?
Thank you Tractor Tech. That kit is now $258.00 at Messicks.
However, I was impressed at how quickly the got me a replacement brake release, even though I can't figure out why that should cost more than about $80.00.
The right side cylinder on my Ford (New Holland) 3930 front end loader (Model 7309) has started leaking.
Should I look for a re-build kit or just buy a new cylinder.
Any video's on how to repair that?
Thanks.
Thank you for all the help. Replacing the filter was much easier that I anticipated.
I unscrewed the bottom and the filter came out with some minor tugging.
Even though I had turned off the valve from the fuel tank, it still leaked. So, I used that stream to fill up the new filter and pushed...
The owner's manual on my 1997 Ford 3930 (New Holland) shows a dual cylinder fuel filter. The filter on the tractor now is a single filter (SF 10082).
Is one arrangement any better than the other? The dual filter has clear bowl that I assume traps water. Why wouldn't the single filter need...
My 1997 operator's manual shows a dual cylinder fuel filter assembly. The previous owner replaced that with a single filter (SF 10082).
Was there a reason that he might have done that and are there any pointers on replacing this filter?
Also, there appears to be some sort of drain nipple at the...
I borrowed my neighbors disc harrow and I need to replace a disc that broke on my watch. I can't find a manufacturer's name on it.
The discs are 19 inches in diameter. There are 10 discs on the back row and what appears to be one long shaft running through them, with a 2 inch square nut on it...
There are 4 short hydraulic hoses in the joytick controller for my front end loader on my Ford 3930.
One of them split. Can I find replacement hoses for inside the controller or will I have to buy a new controller?
Where would you look for those kinds of parts?
Thanks.
I found a snow melt that won't harm my dogs or cows. The chemicals used won't hurt them if they eat it or it gets absorbed through their feet. It's Morton Safe-T-Pet and I found it on sale at http://www.provetlogic.com/for-the-home-and-business/morton-safe-t-pet-ice-melt.html.
I also like the...
My neighbor is offering me a 1997 Ford 3930 with 250 hours on it for around 14K. The machine seems well maintained. It has Ford's FEL with a hay fork. The engine has a turbo on it. (Why would I need that?)
The price seems about right but I wanted to see if there were any known major service...
