PURRING LIKE A DIESEL KITTY!!! The fact the tiniest piece of paper towel would cause all of this... it's comical now... wasn't comical before. I'm thankful for all of the help! I got two vehicles un-burried and 1 more to go. We're looking at 1' of snow by Thursday so I really needed that plow...
This was the reservoir this morning. So I drained the fuel, blew out hoses, removed the top of the filter. There were remnants of what I think was a paper towel, in the filter inlet nipple. It must have been frozen inside when I blew it out a few days ago.
I need fuel and hope to know today.
I have a small window of opportunity. High of 30 and sunshine until the snow starts again tonight. I’m going at it with the heat gun and I have an infrared heater that would fit at the front of the tractor and secured by the hood on top of it. Next remove solenoid, if no change, it’s a fuel...
I'll change the fuel again because I need to remove the variable. There's more 911 in there than half a filter reservoir. I tried that amount and nothing changed so it was recommended to add more. Probably has a total of 3-4 oz.
I'm sold on the gelling and now to figure out a way to heat it. My...
If it’s gelled fuel, how would I get past this? Warming the whole tractor? I know it’s winterized diesel, I’m in NW Colorado and it’s labeled at the pump.
I’m going to drain the fuel again so I remove any 911. Is it a bad idea to use my mityvac to apply vacuum to the exit hose past the bleed...
Unfortunately I don't have an enclosed area to warm it. I do have the battery on a trickle charge and increase the juice when cranking. It's also a new battery.
Let's say it's not fuel, is there any other component that could be causing this? A diesel mechanic told me to add the diesel 911...
I don't get "a lot" of fuel out of the open injectors. It was interesting I could keep it running for about 10 seconds or more when I had the main bleed valve open. It had to be opened at a specific volume of flow. It was blasting out a heavy stream of fuel, yet it was the only way for it to...
I can’t move it as it’s about 100 yards away with deep snow between.
I pulled the tank hose and had solid flow. I worked my way up to the nipple after the bleeder valve. I made a video, just need to figure out how to share. I bled it and then bled at the injectors.
Still the exact same...
Nothing yet, I can work on this tomorrow morning. Unfortunately it’s inaccessible except by foot in 2 1/2’ snow. And the temps have been single digits overnight and below freezing during the day. I used 911 in hopes of preventing gelling.
Something has to be plugging a line. I’ve run 2 fresh...
The fuel never enters the reservoir faster than a drip. Whether the bowl is screwed in or not. When installed Isn’t the filter supposed to open a valve to let the fuel flow?
