John Deere 318 charge pump whine

My charge pump has started to make noise. It's almost like a grinding at idle, and then is a whine at higher throttle ranges. It's not the differential, as I know they tend to make noise when operating. When I bought the tractor (6 months ago) it didn't make a sound. I decided to replace the...

    John Deere 318 charge pump

Hello, My charge pump sounds like there's something grinding away in it. Almost like something got sucked into it. I changed the fluid about 10 hours ago. The level is fine. Here a link to the sound. Can someone explain it to me or reassure me I'm not causing damage to this machine...

    John Deere 318 voltage regulator

Hello, Yesterday my 318 wouldn't do anything when I turned the key. No dash light, no nothing. I went and bought a new ignition switch and it fixed the problem. Or so I thought. It will run, but then it will cut out and then flare back up right before it completely stalls as if the key was...

    John Deere 318 transmission

My trans stopped working. I have hydraulics and power steering, but no trans. Here's what happened. I tried to use the pressure relief valves, but they were stuck. So I hit them with a small amount of WD-40. I was eventually able to open them with a small hammer. They were freed up. They...

Backhoe  John Deere 318 PTO light.

Hello, I'm having issues with my PTO light. When I turn the key to "on"(before I turn the tractor over) the battery light comes on and so does the PTO light. Then, when the tractor is at idle before being warmed up, the PTO light stays on. If I give it some throttle it goes out. Then, when I...

    GT275 Snowblade adapted to GT235 ?

I apologize this took so long to get back to you. I had "bungee" cords to attach it to the rear end. The cords are rubber, but they barely give so they provided a tight fit. Worked well. Saved a ton of money not having to buy wheel weights. I was plowing 12"+ snow. Worked really well.
