That’s the worst part - I’m too busy with keeping up on my own stuff I don’t have time to do any work for anyone else. I still save money from not having to hire someone. Plus I like having an arsenal yo do just about anything I need to.
Already mowed a few passes on the other side of the road
The cogon grass was over the hood
All done on both sides of the road. No double cutting required!
Well I got to test out the mower and its definitely 540! Even with dull blades the mower cut very well. I ran it on my 5067e John Deere and it had plenty of power, even for 4-5‘ tall invasive cogon grass.
I just purchased this Bush Hog 3008-2. The PTO shaft was too long for me to attach to my tractor so I went to remove the shaft from the gear box and I think its 1000 pto? The tractor side is 540 but all of the shafts on the mower look to be 1000?

I'm glad I found this thread. I purchased a Case Farmall 60a a few months ago. Its the same as a Workmaster 60 but has red paint instead of blue. My dad has a Workmaster 70 and its been a pretty good tractor minus a ECU update within the first 10 hours. My Farmall has the L555 which is the same...
I loved my Pioneer 500 the last 7.5 years but I decided to upgrade to something new. This Pioneer 1000-5 is on a whole new level! The power is impressive, the transmission is smooth and I’m loving the bigger bed.
Nothing too crazy, pull a 8’ disc harrow, aerating, overseeding with a 6’ seed drill etc. I don’t grow any row crops so I’ll be planting and maintaining pastures and food plots for deer season.
Good question! If the budget is tight I would do the tires first. Plus, tires are readily available and the shocks will take ~8-12 weeks last I heard. Both are a big improvement though
I run 27x9 and 27x11 Tusk Terrabite radials on my 2015 Pioneer 500. It was a great upgrade! The radial tires ride much better than the stock bias ply tires. The 27" size looks like it belongs on the P5 and I did not notice much of a power difference at all. These machines do not boast huge power...
I got the chance to weigh just my truck and trailer last week and the unloaded weight was 18,320 so the 5100E, 520M loader, filled tires, bucket and Grapple weighs ~ 12,830 lbs. The grapple has an advertised weight of 960lbs so the tractor and loader/bucket is just under 12,000 lbs. I really...
I'm really glad I went with the smaller machine as its easy to fit in my dump trailer. I normally haul it with my flatbed gooseneck but its nice to be able to haul it in the dump trailer too for cleanup jobs.
My favorite use of the T66 has to be using the Diamond Brush Cutter. Its sized for 17-20 gpm and my machine runs it perfectly with 17.6 gpm. It is a very heavy duty built mower. With my flow, I didn't expect to use it to clear land or anything. However, I wanted to be able to maintain fence...
