I have a 2007 timber ax. I am seriously considering selling it. and buying something different. I just finished a 3 acre clearing job. mostly pines in the 6-8 inch range. It seemed to struggle a bit. Maybe it was my technique. Im not sure. I was just a little disappointed.
Anyone else slow? Phones are just not ringing as much. Any ideas would be a great help. I am advertising in all the local papers. Im hoping things pick up soon.:confused:
I was cutting a 10acre field today and I hit a stump hidden in tall brush. My cutter is vibrating pretty bad. Rotor seems to spin fine. I hammered out a piece on the rotor in between the blades. It helped some but still vibrating. Any suggestion besides pulling the entire rotor out? Thanks in...
does any one have any info on a winch system for a tracked skid steer. Do they go on the front or the back. I got stuck today and really wished I had one. After an hour of shovel work and some logs I got out. Thanks for any info.
When mulching, What do you do with the downed trees and logs/stumps that are too big to mulch? Do you drag to a pile and burn as part of the job? Or haul away? Or simply leave for the customer to deal with as out of scope.
I have been looking at a cat 287 or 297 used, with a mulching head. The cat rep wants me to by there mulching head. Anybody know much about cat mulching heads.He said the new ones are redesigned and are awesome. You know the salesman says there great, but he is not going to be in the field with it.
