    GC2300 hydrostatic issue

If this was the pump assembly, it may have been from the factory that way.

    GC2300 hydrostatic issue

I can replicate everything in your video with my GC2300 with underinflated rear tires. Your backhoe is about 200 pounds more than my counterweight, causing more traction/compression on the rear tires not allowing them to spin. The angle of the FEL is directed into the ground, not sraping off the...

    GC2300 hydrostatic issue

GC's are very heat sensitive. Is the hydrostat cooling fan intact? Did you change the hydro oil with a suitable tractor hydraulic fluid? Other than that, the video seem like pretty normal operation. Turtle/2WD, you can see the rear tires torquing, then hear the relief valve opening. Too big a...

Ferris 810cc 26HP Vanguard Battery Constantly Dying?

Ferris IS1500Z, replaced the key switch. Symptoms - Starter would only click when trying to start, after several dozen attempts it would start. Lost 2 keys out of the switch (old and new) when trimming around pines/cedars. Affixed lanyard to key attached to mower throttle.

MF 1428V shuts down engaging PTO

Well, I only see two other switches on parts book. One I would assume to be a neutral switch for starting, whether that is the one on the differential case I have no idea. Normally the top one is used on a lever selector. Should also ask if the PTO is a mechanical engagement or electric.

MF 1428V shuts down engaging PTO

Tried jumpering the seat safety switch? Depending on the type, seat foam can get too hard to depress, seat and seating position can affect engagement as well.

what oil do you guys use

You're good to go. It's Diesel rated. Far better quality than when the Iseki 3 cylinder came out 40+ years ago. The GCs have been using the same basic engine for 25 years now. For a lot of winter use if stored unheated, may want to switch to a 0W or 5W oil. Personally use Mobil Delvac 0W40. Its...

GC 2600 Has anyone replaced the control valve line filter?

Air can only enter the system from suction. The main filter is under constant pressure while operating.

GC 2600 Has anyone replaced the control valve line filter?

It is very easy to pinch an o-ring on the suction filter. The early ones were made of plastic, very easy to crack if over-torqued. Part has been superseded by a metal filter. There is some aeration of the hydraulic fluid when it returns to tank, very normal.

GC 2600 Has anyone replaced the control valve line filter?

Seems like your using a decent semi-synthetic. Symptoms sound like overheating of the hydro fluid. Common causes would be damaged cooling fan (on GCs attached to driveshaft) or continuous pouring over the relief valve. Hydro whine is quite common, very noticeable when driving in high range...

GC 2600 Has anyone replaced the control valve line filter?

Sounds more like the tractor hydraulic fluid you are using. Do you know the Viscosity Index of the hydro oil?

Clicking noise from front right wheel in 4WD GC1710

Isolate the sound. Lift up the front end with the loader, spin the tire by hand, check for clicking. Lift up back end, block it so it doesn't drop, check 4WD. Clicking coming from steering hub or U joint on front drive axle? The U joint is also on the right side of the axle. You might have to...

    MF GC2310 Muffler or alternative

Yumex hasn't been around since 2010. Manufacturer of GC2300/2400 mufflers. Bought by automotive parts supplier Hirotec, as they produced exhausts for Mazda. Pipes breaking is very common (welded mine twice), seriously doubt if there are any left. You might get lucky at a dealer with NOS...
