    Tires started slipping this year

I have a 10 -12 year old L118 riding mower and a yard with hills. This year the tires started slipping on the hills while trying to mow up the incline, whereas in the previous years it wasn't an issue. I have treads, but maybe the pliability is gone. Replace them with new tires? Suggestions?

    Deere L118 stator - HELP!!!

The stator is under the flywheel, yes? What is the best way to prevent the flywheel from turning if I need to remove it? There is some rust, of course, so I have it soaking in PB Blaster. Anyone know what size socket I need to remove the nut on the flywheel if I have to remove it? 1 1/2? 1 3/4...

    John Deere L118 dies

My DeereL118 Lkawn tractor dies. IOt has fuel, the battery is good (just charged it), but the tractor died twice and had to replace the 20A fuse. It's 8 years old and has been good to me, so I don't mind putting a few bucks into her. I am thinking regulator and/or stator at this point. I...
