I'd like to try running my 35 on TVO, but I've got a couple of concerns before I go ahead.
Firstly, the heat shield is missing from the manifolds do I need to replace this?
Secondly, and in the same are, in the top-centre of the inlet manifold is a threaded outlet which a pipe is supposed to...
Hi All.
I'm currently in the final stages of renovating a 1960s 3.5 ton Massey Ferguson Tipping Trailer.
Unfortunately the seals on the Ram are knackered and I'm having real problems disassembling it.
Its a 2 stage ram, and I've got the large stage out from the outer sleeve OK, but no joy with...
Hi all.
I'd like to try running my 35 on home brew TVO, but I've got a couple of concerns before I go ahead.
Firstly, the heat shield is missing from the manifolds - do I need to replace this? Maybe, considering its not the summer right now.
Secondly, and in the same are, in the top-centre of...
I'm adding rear hydros to my MF35 and have bought 2 pairs of quick connector for flow and return coupling.
Is it OK to use a bulkhead fitted male on the tractor for the return path? In that way it would ensure the hoses are connected the right way round.
Cheers,
Jim
I'm adding some rear hydraulics to my 1964 MF35 in preparation for my log splitter project.
I was going to run the supply from the divertor valve I have for my loader, but was thinking of using the tipping trailer feed instead.
Can someone tell me the thread for this pipe? I suspect its about...
Hi all.
Got an oil leak from the left steering drop arm on my 1964 Massey 35, so I've got a new seal for it.
Can anyone tell me, is it a left or right hand nut, as its not budging when I try and undo it.
Also, assuming I can get it undone, whats the correct torqu for doing it up again...
Hi all.
Following the success of my loader renovation, I am now building a log splitter for my 1965 MF35.
I have a valve and ram, but I dont see where I would send the hydraulic fluid back into the tractor.
Can anyone help in this regard?
Thanks,
Jim
I finally got the front loader onto the MF35 this evening (in the snow I might add) and she moves! Thanks all those who gave me help in the renovation.
Hardly any leakage from the rams which is a relief, but the hydralic pump does grumble a bit on the lift.
Here are a couple of photos.
Now all...
Can some kind owner with an older MF, ideally a 35 (but a 100 series would probably do), with a front loader on, please let me have some details of the hydraulic hose routing from the diverter valve to the loader cylinders?
Its the last part of my rebuild, and I cannot see how to route these...
Hi again Hutch.
Well its quite difficult to take useful photos as the loader is in parts being refurbished by me at the moment. I've got quite far, and am pleased with the results up to now.
I have added a picture of the as-yet untouched forks for interest and to see what it was like before I...
Hi all.
I'm refurbishing a very sad and rusty front loader for my MF35 that I dragged out of a field in the UK.
I'm about to look at the hydraulics and have wondered were the pipes and control lever are normally located for this tractor.
It's a single acting system (push only on the rams...
Hi all.
So I have a couple of questions regarding my MF35 as the title suggests.
Firstly, and in the first picture, what is the use for the foot (heel?) pedal underneath the draft quadrant? It is held up with spring, although mine is pretty seized, and attaches to the right hand rear brake...
