Help Me Design/ Build a Shop

We recently built a 40x60x14 iron barn with a plan for it similar to yours. Our primary usage is a weekender for the ranch. Apartment inside with upper and lower bedrooms, closets, a bathroom and a kitchen - all walls and ceilings are fully insulated with roll fiberglass. Floors are LVP or...

    Tractor lots are full

Uh, I think you are mistaken about this. CaCl2 (calcium chloride) is way more corrosive than NaCl (sodium chloride). Pre-treatment before snow is one way to minimize corrosive effects, and calcium and magnesium salts are more expensive, so they use less.

    Tractor lots are full

Well, while you are ROFLYAO (or whatever that emoji means) you might consider that oil production is at a record high, yet oil prices are still outrageous. Perhaps it could be over-production of another commodity (hint: money) that has lowered the value of that commodity (money). Print more...

    Tractor lots are full

It was ONLY the bailouts and "quantitative easing" that caused inflation. Pinching supply only increases the price of the pinched item. It does not have an effect on interest rates and the overall value of money. Only printing more changes that and only governments can print money. *****...

    Watering Cattle from a Pond

No one has mentioned a hydraulic ram pump. I believe it is required that you pump up hill with this powerless system. You prime it once and it sets up a resonance to continue pumping water uphill. The low volume is either drank by cows or returned back to the pond. Stoney Ridge Farms on YT...

    Industrias America

I have a Industrias America 10 foot cultipacker. It is well built - heavy and straight and has good hydraulics. The only problem I have had with it is that the 2" main shaft is centered between the bearings with thrust rings on each end held onto the shaft with a single set screw. First day...

    Chainsaw scabbard

I used a Saw Haul brand on my MX5400 with no modification. As I recall there was a version on the SawHaul site that was a perfect fit. It's a great piece of kit by the way.

Gluing PVC Pipe under water/ Pond overflow

You will be surprised how tight a dry PVC joint is if it is not under pressure. I have duck paddies with dry joint 90 elbows and they will hold water for months.

    Pond Build

I'll see what I can do. One problem with capturing a project like this is that photos dont do justice to the scale . A drone would be really great, but Im not that into that. We learned a ton - how a good dam is built, how much silt can accumulate over 60 years, where to ditch sediment, how...

    Pond Build

That pond looks great. Trenches are one structure, piles are another. We just finished draining and de-silting a 7 acre pond, rebuilding the dam and creating new structure. Now we are looking to restock fish and get it growing again. It's slow and expensive.....

Kubota M4 Utility Tractor Transmission Whine

What an irritating noise. A lot of people it seems have that problem, but not all. I have the M4-071 (not D, so my 4WD is a manual lever) and I have not experienced the whine...yet. In most of what Ive read no one has found a solution. It certainly seems to be damaging the reputation of...
