I'll second the recommendation of an aluminum frame trailer. I've had this 6.5x12 Aluma flatbed for 9 years, it still cleans up to almost brand new condition, and the only maintenance it requires is tires and wheel bearing grease. I paid around $1800 for it 9 years ago, and probably could sell...

Yeah, it took some creativity to get it all tied down securely! And you can never have too many trailers, I also have a 5x8 enclosed trailer I use when we're only hauling our two motorcycles behind the campervan.
