Bolt on forks on a CK20

Thanks for all the responses, and confirmation of my gut feeling. I can't justify buying a real set of forks since this is the first time in the 12 years I've owned the tractor that I had a need for forks. Plus, the tractor doesn't have SSL loader attachment. The pallet isn't a "standard" 48"...

Bolt on forks on a CK20

I'll need to move a 700# pallet a few times in mid-April and have sourced a loaner set of forks for when I need them, but I'm wondering if that's a reasonable thing to do. Would 700# on 48" forks extended off the loader be likely to deform the bucket? I can't imagine the cutting edge will hurt...

    Kioti CK20HST snow blower size?

I'd like to buy a 60" snowblower for my CK20 but wonder if it's strong enough to run it. The snowblower requires 18 to 30 hp and my tractor manual says the tractor delivers 16.5hp. Close enough?

    NX4510HST FEL6010 Joystick cable

Thanks to all who responded to my questions about my loader cable problem. I disassembled the system Friday afternoon and discovered the cable itself wasn't broken but the connector between the cable and the valve. Access to the cables and valve on the CK20 is simple since they're just under the...

    Flail mower or rotary cutter?

I've got roughly 3 acres that has become overgrown that I want to "reclaim". Not turn into lawn, but thin some of the trees out, get rid of the multiflora rose and honeysuckle, cut the grass 3 or 4 times over the summer. I have a 48" ratchet rake - excellent tool - that I've cleared a bunch...

    Road Travel?

I just bought a new CK20S HST and want to load the tires (R4's) with Rim Guard. Dealer is 9 road miles away, 3 miles of secondary road (mostly downhill) then 6 miles of essentially flat, wide shouldered main road. Price to load the tires is $90/tire plus $75 if he has to come to me. Is it...

    318 Ignition problems

My '92 318 (original owner) doesn't want to run. Earlier this spring it wouldn't start - no spark. I checked the coil and control module with a VOM and they were fine so I replaced the condenser. No luck. The chief mechanic at one of my clients suggested I test the ignition switch, I did and...
