We've got Bobcats and we've got a small feral cat population....
Here is Bob and one of his "mixed" kids.

Things are looking really grim for Nevada's mustangs this year. "Extreme drought" is how northern Nevada is classified now. Normally this time of year it would be really green, with grasses growing fast and tall. This year there's almost nothing...they'll be reduced to gnawing on the brush soon, and in July and August when the springs and waterholes dry up it there will be dead mustangs around every one. Took these pics on the way to pick up some parts at the nearest John Deere dealer - 130 miles - a couple days ago.

Beautiful pics. Sad situation.

We are in extreme drought here too. Yesterday evening and this morning we had the first appreciable rain in over a month (3/4"). Supposed to get a little more later this afternoon. Annual rainfall deficit is still 15".
