In the long run you'll be glad that you took BDHSF26's advice. It IS a bit more costly, but repairs are costlier still. Doing your own fluid and filter changes is where you save the money overall.I use the OEM UDT2 oil in my Kubotas. Yes, it's expensive but how often do you change the hyd. oil? There are cheaper products out there that may work just fine but IMO, why chance it.
I have found Everything Kubota makes or Sells is over-engineered and will hold up better and longer than the competition < you pay for it but in the long run it is worth the Price. My original MX5100 battery lasted 12 years ...it's replacement is 6 years old now.I’ve got a 2016 kubota L4400 that needs the hydraulic fluid changed and was wondering what fluid to use.
Thanks
You're right it's not cheap, but repairs can be darned more expensive plus downtime caused by poor quality or incorrect spec oils and filters.Good advice,it's not cheap but the proper choice.
I found the same thing in our M59 - SUDT was quieter than UDT.For what its worth, In my BX 2360, SUDT has less transmission noise than UDT.
Interesting. Thanks for posting this. My L6060 is due for a transmission oil change and I was going to switch from SUDT to UDT, thinking it would quiet the hydrostat a bit.For what its worth, In my BX 2360, SUDT has less transmission noise than UDT.
I think we have the same HST+ transmission. The M59 was our first HST tractor, and came new from Kubota with UDT. I was concerned about the hydraulic whine under high loads, so at the 50 hr service the dealer put in New Holland's Ambra GL 134. He said he did that routinely to all his customer's machines.Interesting. Thanks for posting this.
