Just a note of appreciation for this sub-forum. There are other places that have Starlink sub-forums and even an entire forum specific to SL. But this one, ironically on a tractor site, is by far better than any of the others.

As strange as it sounds, the TBN community is the first group I consult, when I'm wading into unknown topics or issues. I always seem to get good advice or pointed to a definitive and reliable place for info.

They're coming out on Thursday to run our fiber into the house. Out of the other options of line-of-site, cellular or Starlink (I've had all of them), the Starlink wins hands-down.

Fiber is the holy grail if it's available.

I’ve gone from nothing in 2017 to a bar on cell and now have a set up with a neighbor that beams connectivity to me…

Can’t get fiber at my location without under-grounding but 300 feet away my neighbor has an air drop…

I have fiber on my street, but my local fiber company has their head where the sun don't shine and my Starlink is both faster and cheaper than the fiber service they provide.

They trenched and bored 735' to my house. It cost me $803

Our fiber is now live out at my fence…about 300’ from my house. I’ll have to wait until spring to get it to the house. But until ground thaws out, I plan to run 3/4” carflex out from my utility room to side of house so the install company can pull cable into my utility area easily.thats where I keep all wifi equipment. I’ve ordered up the 50’ run and fittings.

I thought I did my last attic work since I retired….guess I’m wrong.
