I caught a couple of episodes of this show, and like most totally scripted shows, damn near everything is staged. Isn’t is interesting that in the multiple calamities that occur in each show, a cameraman happens to be in the exact location and time to video.

The only interesting part of the show is the hand fallers. They drop these 8’ diameter trees in inaccessible locations. But then you notice the their equipment can’t handle anything larger than 24” or so. They never load the large trees on the hauler, never drop them into the water and never load them on the barge.

So what do they do with the large trees other than to watch them rot on the ground.

They could drop 10 usable trees in the time spent showing off.

@Jeff Lary That's an amusing thought about what might go into each of our highlight reels for the year. I'm pretty sure that I would not generate enough content to cover the costs. 🥱

Thanks for the smile.

All the best, Peter

Having lived throughout Alaska for 24+ years - all those Alaska wilderness shows are a bucket of crap also.

But that is all OK. Alaska's major carnivores keep everything pretty well all cleaned up.

As are many - Jstpssng. A living legend in their own mind.

What the hey - just ask. I can spin a tale that will bring on snoring - in a heart beat.
