It's still Fall in the Colorado High Country. Today.....Xmas Eve, & temps today again in the 60's.
No moisture in sight. It did snow a few inches once last month, but now just a memory.

So it's going to be tough sledding here for Santa. He'd do better to leave the tires on in the mountains this year.

Took wife to big HEB grocery store that everyone loves down here about 25 miles away. It was packed. After 3 gridlocked trips around the parking lot, I just dropped off wifey and daughter, then parked a long way away. She said she got frustrated inside the store with how jam packed it was.

I have long told her I hate going to that one, because of the crowds. She usually likes going there because of the bigger store's selections, but after yesterday, she's seeing it my way now. We can just go to the smaller version pretty much from now on.

Some of those 'new' HEB's have BBQ restaurants inside. The one's I've tried out were very good!

Good Christmas Morning Everyone!

Had the granddaughter over yesterday Christmas Eve, all day to give her new swing set a good workout. She also got her other Christmas presents from us and had a blast with the food, gifts, games and 5 adults, 5 cats and 3 chickens catering to her all day.

One of the chickens, if they know she is here, comes up on the porch and clucks until she goes outside. They will all 3 follow her in the yard and stay close by whenever she is outside if they are out. The 3 kittens will let her gather all 3 of them up in her arms and stay very calm and complacent until she puts them down. They don't like to ride in the wagon she tries to pull them around in though, not yet anyway.

So, it's supposed to be partly cloudy and up in the mid 70f's here on Christmas Day and no cold weather for the next 10 days. One day might have an overnight low of 32, maybe. We are very blessed this Christmas with fair weather.

Good Morning from Central Texas,
At 5am my station says 66 degrees and 64 Dew point. High today forecast near 80. Still painfully dry around here, hopefully some rains Sunday night with a big (for us) cold front.
H.E.B. -> I *think* the one in Bastrop is opening a BBQ. Last trip there was still construction, and a USUAL the lot / store was packed full of people. Originally, I thought the construction was only expanding the core groceries. Still somewhat surprised they are expanding to sell BBQ given around here there are so many BBQ places ! Wish they'd build a store closer to where I live instead.

Good Morning and Merry Christmas to all!
It’s 34° with fair skies, a high in the middle 40’s. Not exactly Christmas weather, definitely not a white one.

Yesterday followed the plan, sort of…
The new circulator was here at 9:00am, and I couldn’t resist installing it. Got the old one out, and the new one in place, when I slipped and it fell to the floor.

It was a fatal fall, so rather than welding or brazing it back together, I admitted defeat and reinstalled the old pump before starting my rounds.

I ran out of time, before completing my deliveries, so a few people will get theirs after Christmas, I guess not unlike the USPS.
But I did make it back in time to go to dinner. There were some incredibly talented musicians there, several that have made their living for 3 or 4 decades in the studio playing on recordings that we have all heard. I opted not to play because we had to leave early, and it usually goes late into the night.
But the Christmas music was wonderful as was the food.

Today will start with breakfast at oldest son’s house, and opening presents there. Then back home until dinner at youngest son’s house. The test will be to see if I can resist changing the circulator, as I do have a new one ready to go.
