yanmar 165D
After getting stuck multiple times with the turf tires on the front, I had to get some new shoes up front, so the 4x4 would actually be effective. Boy did it ever help!

Turf tire are Lawnmower tires! They are!! Craftman what I'm talking about!! So if you don't what to rough up your yard that's what you need!

Not really concerned too much about yard. The deer, moles and other critters tear it up pretty well already.....plus, it's all clay.

You name the critter and I have it. My clay soil the Bridgestone leave no tire marks as long as it's dry. Wet you have to be careful. I cut a putting Grn. pretty much! Been tempted to pin it!! ;)

Havent picked out a particular flotation tire yes, but I bookmarked several. Now just have to do a little homework on them....but rear tires aren't a huge priority right now.....I need to get a blade and a finish mower first

Yes, next one the list is a new seat, ROPS, and a finish mower. I would like to add a quick attach style bucket like what is on skid steers. And maybe down the road add power steering.

Seats are very very very expensive now. And they last about 5 years max. The reason being, seat makers want to make money and having you come back often. Thus, the UV protection in the materials have been pulled out.

The Marine seats still have the UV additive in the materials.

Start NOW looking for a ROPS diligently. Or if you are good at tube bending and welding, you can make your own based on the CP drawings on the YTOG. (y)

Over the years, members here found ROPS for other models, then did cuts and welded new mounts to fit their machine.

Power steering is a lost hope. Hoye is GONE ! Unless @AaronM could point you in the right direction. The Yanmar OE PS units leaked and were a pain to maintain. Maybe the better made JD units of similar setup might work, who knows.

The seat, im not sure what I will do yet. I might do a forklift style with arm rests and seatbelt.....but only use belt when/if i am able to source a ROPS

No doubt Fredricks has ROP.. That would be new though. I doubt your going to pay that for New ROP.
Used Rop. are hard to come bye. Parting out a tractor is normal for those to go quick. Esp. in the Mtn. states. Maybe able to Ghetto rig. a set and make a them. Shouldn't be that much to it. Have them made even ?
Sideways on hills is what causes the roll overs. The Notorious Yanmar roll over. The kid was trying to pull fence post with a chain around the drive side rear Tire. The Genius who set that up also left the Throttle Linkage loose at the Inj. pump connection. He was previously working on it earlier and was inside banging the mother when it happened. Mothers was on a county driving team together.
The county/state would have a drivers meet and obstacle course to drive through and score.
Was said it was screaming wide open laying on it side. Mother seen Spalding tractor had Yanmar was selling them.
Snowed in @ ATl. motor speedway. Boy we heard way to much than we wanted to that's for sure. Gay factor even!! INKY.
If you look at the clamps they put a set pin though the clamp to make that was almost impossible pretty much to happen again.
Mother was the kids bus driver and at the scene the morning it happened so this is true!
Aunt was the court Secretary. I believe the records was lost in a fire. The court house burnt down. Should hear what all I heard about it. We don't want to "butt" hurt any feeling so I keep it quiet about it.
Father was Dealer Rep. for Ford credit back then Oh... Tractors was available at Ford dealerships so they had interest in what actually happened to. When it comes up I never seem amazed at the BS. and how you need them. Ford quit selling tractor in the dealers not long afterwards. Tractor just don't roll over on a hill unless is super unlevel or " Chained to something causing it Etc...

Contact Fredricks and/or Brand-M for a ROPS. These come with seat belts.

If I remember correctly the YM165 was really just a little too compact to get the power steering kit to mount correctly. There just wasn't room between the steering box & axle to make it work. There was a guy on one of the other forums that fabricated a full hydraulic steering system for a YM1300 that used an orbital steering valves that appeared to work nicely.

(edit - found it in the link below)
(edit #2 link was weird so I just attached the PDF below).
