Yes, every day is a Happy Day. Or at least one has the ability to make it or think it so.
Words to live by!

I plan to have a look under the truck to see what else the pack rat got into besides chewing the backup camera cable to pieces. I hope that there is enough extra cable to be able to splice it in place and not to have to run a new cable. I'm not looking forward to the whole splicing of a shielded multi wire cable under the truck. It seems to be asking for a vertigo attack. Running the cable initially was not trivial as I recall. One pack rat got into three vehicles in a fairly short period of time last winter, and I'm not sure that I have found all the damage. So far, the camera cable is the only wire that I have found that was chewed on. 🤞 I find the rat pee to be a challenge to remove. It is like varnish. Any tips would be welcome. Putting the hay up, I noticed the pack rat had been in there for a bit as well. Grrr.

All the best,

Peter

Morning 34 going to 62 and partly cloudy.
Finished blowing out and disconnecting the hoses, used the M18 pump, worked great.

Happy birthday Scotty!

Took dog walk at sunset to get some pictures, Moon was already pretty bright though.

Who knows what today will bring, but getting dark so soon after work is not helping.
With no rain, even the bushes are turning a bit yellow, first time for that.

Be well,

I re-graded an area in front of my barn this summer, aiming for better drainage, since I had a soggy rutted bowl developing in front of my barn doors. The last few weeks, the area I plug-aerated and seeded after grading has taken on the look of a bad hair plugs job, due to the ultra-dry soil conditions. :ROFLMAO: Perfect neat little rows of grass plug tufts every 4 inches, or so.

Good Morning to All Who Celebrate! Currently 46° heading to a high of 62° with rain forecast for later this evening. Whether that materializes or not remains to be seen.

Busy week at work this week, didn't get time to get out early enough to get to the other tree and finish processing the wood. Might try to do that today, would be a great way to start the weekend with all that done. Or if it's not super wet tomorrow, we'll have time to get to it on Saturday. Decisions, Decisions.

Still waiting to hear back from Messick's about the snowblower. Might have to call.

Nothing much on tap for this weekend other than more firewood. Which is how I like my weekends, relaxing.

Scott, Happy Birthday! Can't think of a better place to enjoy turning another year older.
Loving the fall pictures!

Y'all stay safe out there and be well!
Prayers for all Ailing and Recovering!

Good Morning
27° and mostly sunny to start. High might make it to 60 with no real change in the sky conditions.

Yesterday, I spent too much time with mesh nodes. I finally bit the bullet and called Asus. A human actually answered the phone and was (somewhat) helpful.

Extremely patient, was on the phone for 45 minutes. But didn’t solve the problem, we just ruled out things. We decided that the issue might not be the modes, but the main router. The next step is to switch an indoor node with the router and configure it as a router to see if that cures it. (The router and indoor nodes are the same hardware). But I ran out of time.
Had some chores to get done before going to the RC club meeting.

Today, Im typing this from the waiting room at the dermatologist, hopefully I’ll leave intact.
After that i will likely go back to trying to get my wifi sorted out.
Still need to get to the hangar and work on the little plane.
And I’m debating if the pastures need to be mowed, I’m thinking not, but will await a determination from the boss.

Screw that! Anything even looks remotely funny, cut it off!

I've had melanoma deaths in my immediate family, and it's ugly. It's something you don't even want to think about messing with, when lifting a mole off is such a quick and relatively painless procedure.

Morning all (if I type fast);

Cool morning to start the day but decent temps for the day 30 low 50 high, 10 day forecast shows a gradual cooling with a possibility of a chance of that nasty 4 letter word snow :( . Oh well it is coming sooner or later, later sounds good to me.
Take my wifes car over to my brothers hoist and throw on the snow tires this Saturday, then next Thursday get mine mounted for the pickup, that will be a quick $1500, dropped the rims off yesterday afternoon for the snows. Damned steel roofing is getting completely outrageous, $5 per running foot for small orders, so a few sheets of corrugated for a leanto roof today.

Have a good day

home safe and sound, easy drive up from eastern shore, hit the major highways with no delays, then came up 309 and then 202 into New Hope.
light came on dash right at very end, some pictogram that I'm only guessing means the gas cap is loose. I tightened it and light didn't go away; probably will next time.

I don't want the pictogram that shows a rod coming sideways out of the block. The ultimate check engine light...

headed outside shortly to suck up leaves, plenty here
when I get back in, probably will take a long hot shower to get the
leaf dust off me, and relax sore body, but then will start downloading pics from camera.
just don't know why laptop won't recognize it but pc will.

GD in college has a lot to learn about managing money

most do, sure doesn't grow on trees

my financial planning practice dealt primarily in my faith group and I charged about 50 bucks an hour
for 40-50 hours of planning work. Most were aged 50 and up.
Two couples said when we were done almost the identical thing.
I wish I had known what I know now 30 years ago.
They bought an analytical package from me for their kids, who were in their 20's, as
Christmas presents, hope that good practices over time result in excellent results for their kids.

But it's the over time part that young folk think doesn't apply to them
because they have unlimited time.
well, maybe, hopefully

spending is easy. Saving is a talent that requires determination.
Add planning to saving and you get somewhere.
rarely can you have too much savings.
Often folks have way too little. SS was never intended to fully support folks
and genuinely worrisome when folks in their sixties and seventies have almost nothing
but a check from the government for a couple grand a month.
One of my neighbors nearby is like that,70 and not two nickels to rub together, wife does
child care and he houses his mature daughter and her trans partner who are dubiously employed
begs the question, how did you get this far with nothing to show for it?
granted could be medical, or mental..

buying a lottery ticket is not financial planning.
but it is fun
gambling as a whole is a sad way to ruin your finances

leaves are saying come catch me
