Milwaukee M12 Tool Line

Dang it. You just cost me $199 plus tax.

Ordered a fourth angle grinder.
I am watching the tool deals close for the right ones to pop up. I also need another angle grinder, cut off tool, and a few more tools I want to add. I really like the deal on the Milwaukee cut-off tool but I would rather have it in Dewalt. So waiting on that deal to fall...

I’ve been using the Milwaukee M12 line for a while now and it’s impressive for compact jobs. The ratchet and impact tools are surprisingly powerful for their size, especially in tight spaces. Battery life is decent — not as long as M18, but perfect for light to medium tasks. I like how Milwaukee keeps expanding the M12 lineup with useful accessories. Overall, it’s a great system if portability and convenience are priorities. Read more:M12 XC4.0 BATTERY - Tool Academy

Just picked up the least expensive impact driver with an extra battery deal. I am going to start looking at tool only options. it does seem like it is a pretty expensive line but all reviews are great.

I built up a fairly good selection of M18 tools and did not want to have different size battery systems but I got an M12 for a present and after realizing how good they are I have collected a good selection of M12's also. I bought my first M18 in 2018 and the batteries are still working.

The M12 drill/driver was my first purchase about 10 years ago. I have a variety of M12 and M18.
The M12 is nice due to smaller and lighter weight.
Have the 3/8 impact too.

Got the M18 big impact for the wheel lugs and the M18 hammer drill to replace my wired version to do a few hundred anchor holes into my old block wall.

I have M18 pole and weedwhacker and thats worked well so far.

I have not had to replace any M12 batteries so far and only one M18 which got replaced under warrenty (2 months shy of warranty end)

I’ve only got 2 m12 ratchets. They work really well.

All my other garage tools are DW. Lights, 1/4” hex impact, 3/8”&1/2” impacts, and drill.

Truck (construction) cordless tools are all Makita.

Truck (construction) cordless tools are all Makita.
Once you choose your battery 'system', that's pretty much your go-to maker.

If not, you end up with several different chargers and batteries, specific to different 'skins'.

I chose Makita, due to the extensive range aside from workshop/construction tools. ie: pole-saw, chainsaw, hedge trimmer...
