Is LS now better with emissions???

I just hauled my MT357 in this morning for a second time for a whole new regen system again. I told the Dealer that I am thinking of getting rid of it and getting an older tractor before all this crap started.

Or maybe a different brand? . I hate to knock any brand but it seems like most posts about emissions issues are associated with LS. Too bad because they are a nice machine otherwise.

It regens every 50 hours like clockwork.

Having said that, 99% of the engine is being used for flail mowing.

I have a feeling (based on what i have read and what my dealer told me) that if you are running at low rpms for extended amounts of time, that could cause regen issues.

Again, just a hunch, could be ********, i am not mechanically inclined.

After reading a number of posts, I run my LS at 1700+ rpm. 530 hours on it, so it is still early, but no issues so far. Not to say I am not a bit worried about what may happen as it gets more hours on it.

The added fuel at 1700+ rpm is a small insurance cost if it keeps the regens reasonable. Mine regens every 50-65 hours. Regens have not been a problem as most of the time they have occurred while I am working so if the rpms go to 1900/2000 or on regen it is not a big deal.

I saved a lot of money on the LS ($8000+) over five years ago and the return on capital will pay for a lot of service work if there are problems down the road.

Just got my MT357 back last week again after fighting 2 or 3 regen hours. This time the Dealer replaced the ECM or the main computer.The Dealer told me if that doesn't do it that someone from LS will come and check it out. I only put 2 hours on it since getting the tractor back.
