Yesterday was coffee roasting day, since I gave away most of the last batches.

Prepped for the storm, but didn't get much rain, and it was windy all day.

Other than short-term capital losses and opportunity cost, there's really usually very little to nothing lost in buying and owning another tractor, assuming you have space to store it indoors. Or put more simply, I've never sold a tractor for less than the purchase price... ever.

One caveat in that is I'm not buying a new tractor and selling it shortly thereafter. I'd assume you'll lose money there. But if you're keeping things many years, they tend to always resell for nearly the new purchase price, decades later.

My 1986 Deere 855 with loader ran about $8500 new, and I bought it in 2012 for $8500. I re-sold it in 2019 for $8500.

Buppies, I wish they offered E-0 here, but they don't, only a few places now starting.
in NC it was everywhere, wonderful in all my motors.

Thomas I see you with more than usual cold and snow just saying. The NWS has fallen into the same forecast if ElNino this LaNina that but there are many other variables to consider

Good Tractor Morning,
Vt, 58 to start going to 62. Just started raining a few minutes ago and very gusty now. It looks like some shop time is on the agenda for today.

David, beautiful tractor and mower setup. Nothing like an AC cab. Or if you’re out in the field and it starts to rain. David did you say you’re a HAM operator? I need Hawaii for WAS. Ted, I also need Nevada, even though I have worked Nevada before, if the station I worked doesn’t submit the QSO to LoTW then I can’t get credit for that contact. Just a bit frustrating

Had a nice dinner out with friends last night, but it was a fairly early night, they had worked hard in the afternoon after splitting and stacking wood and after dinner they just wanted to get home.

That’s about it for now, hope all have a good start to their week

In Michigan Ethanol Free gas is called Recreational Gas. Available at many stations in my area.
Wish Offroad Diesel was as easy to get. Where it is available. It’s $.30 to $.40 cheaper.

Good morning TBN!!
38 this morning. 1st 30s this fall. Maybe hit go to 70 this afternoon. No rain expected in the near future. We did get a little yesterday. About .25 but enough I could burn our paper. Gonna have to break out the garage heat soon.

Spent most of the day yesterday getting the front clip and rack off the 4x2. Then started on cleaning and testing some of the front wiring. Today I will get the rear rack and body off to work on wiring some more. Decided this one should get some much needed love. Clean grease and rebuild the harness. Much cheaper then a new harness. I did order a new CDI yesterday just in case. Well spent 20 bucks just in case. That will pretty much cover my day.

Time for a second cup

Good morning TBN folks! Its in the mid 30's here now and high of 58 is predicted today. Got home from camp last night and had a great time down there. Now we got rain moving in this week and I have lots to camp items to put away, clean or repair..
