I'm having trouble with my L370Grand losing oil from the HST vent. I mean it flows out in a steady stream. I pulled the filter off and all 10.5 gallons ran out. Is this normal?

If memory serves, removing the hydraulic suction filter will drain the majority of the sump. Removing the transmission filter will drain a quart or so max.

I'm guessing by the vent you mean up on top by the fill? Fluid shouldn't becoming out of there, was it over filled

If you don't want to drain all the fluid out, you can hook up a shop vac to the fill port, which causes enough suction so it won't run out the bottom ...

no, on top of the hst is a rubber u-shaped tube that curls downward. About 3 inches long and is clearly a vent.

This is the vent on mine, it is part of the fill cap, next to the dip stick ... Is that where the fluid is coming out?

Mine looks like that but it is on a separate bung by itself. This machine has a cab on it so the filler cap is in the rear above the 3 pt.

Thats exactly what happened. I was able to catch the majority of it and strained it to look for debris or metal, there was no metal and just a small amount of dirt in suspended in the fluid on the bottom of the bucket.

I used a shop vac & some duck tape on mine. It keeps pretty much all the oil from coming out when you remove the filters. The 3d printed vacuum adapter would be better. I might print one out, but I don't think you replace the filter without replacing the oil except for the first filter change.
