The rain has arrived … in the form of ongoing thunderstorms with torrential downpours.

Closing in on 0.75” in the last 20 - 30 minutes.

Looks like it should continue for at least the next hour or two …

that reminds me later I need to squirt some water around outside on the front lawn, small area but want to wait
til later in afternoon, all in the shade. It's first year seed too.

talked to GI doc, made colonoscopy appt for a couple days after I get back from my rv trip.
then tried to move some cd money inhouse at Wells Fargo and branch could not do over phone but home office could.
ok...
Cd rolls today. Into my own checking account, same bank.
oh your funds will be ready in two days
what a racket
though last time this happened they did show up after the next overnight cycle.
Drew have you or your doctor considered Cologuard?

65F with steady rain @ 17:30 ... closing in on 1.25" so far ... (y)

Probably another hour to go then a break followed by another round if the radar is any indication.

That should green things up a bit ... ;)

Power went off for around 20 minutes, tree damage apparently ... back on now though.

Got the 100' extension cord wound up and put away along with some other items, 6" auger loaded in dump cart, and leaves blown from in front of garage before the rain arrived.

Another weeks of meds doled out and a couple of bills paid.

Normally I would agree but as the states population has grown I can’t say the level of common sense has grown along with it. 🤣
I can believe that, a perfect example is. My daughter and son-in-law (retired Marine) moved over there for retirement. She is a full blown squirrel brained liberal now days and he seems to go along with her. Because I am a Trump supporter and a conservative. She has cut all ties to us, her daughter and mommas boy son have had nothing to do with us since shortly after they moved there.

/ Good morning!!!! #211,690
Lou, I can relate to that as sad as it is. I’ve watched both mine and the wife’s families be torn apart by stupid stuff and politics. Not sure why the hatred seems to prevail, I half jokingly tell my wife we’re old, alone and on our own!
Ah well back to regular programming.
Enjoy your night

Good (Tuesday) morning. Overnight Low of 4.3C and it's presently 20.6C, partly cloudy & calm.

A successful 'roading' bit of tractor fun to deliver the last remaining round of hay, that was stored in my shed, to the "Mad Agisting Horse Woman". Tasmanian haying season doesn't really start until mid-late December, so I don't know where she's going to get any more to last the next 3 months.

Today will involve a trip to the tip, including a wine bottle recycle.

That's about it, take care all.

/ Good morning!!!! #211,692
What is a "new winter front for the tractor,"???
It is a piece of Amazon cardboard cut to fit between the dust screen and the radiator to limit the amount of cold air entering the radiator. I use cardboard from Amazon boxes because it seems to be a little heavier and lasts longer.
You only use it in the winter therefore it is a 'winter front'.

Good evening all. 67ºF for the start, thunderstorm in progress, some gusty winds, 1 1/8 inch in rain gauge. Light wind after thunderstorm passed, sky clear up by noon, and high temp was 92ºF, HI 103ºF. Made coffee to start day, then started in on getting boat ready to launch. Original fish survey start time was 8 AM and running late because of rain, found out start time pushed back to 9. I was able the get launched and motor to gathering point on time. We got organized but not much got shocked up initially, Never did get many carp out of the lake but did get good sampling of large mouth population. I was a trail boat mainly there for carp, but still netted some nice large mouth. we transferred 12 inch and under to pond we are stocking and released the rest back in the lake.Got boat back on trailer and home by 3:30PM and got nap in.

Coffee has been poured. 60° with fog this morning. Heading to 78° with possibility of rain showers. .13" rain yesterday. Got rained out with hours of drizzle yesterday. So most of the day was spent conserving energy. Same items on list from yesterday today. But taking Sassy to groomer this morning. Then help a neighbor move a downed tree.
Cleanup crew has been busy lately.

RonS, shooting for me requires some kind of support for weight of gun. Eye sight is still good enough for target shooting.

VermontCC, Black Squirrels are fun to watch.

Everyone stay well and safe.

Good Morning All.

58 going to 85.

Phil, wood that old is truly amazing. Nice job on it.

BEF, great pix...sorry the train engine exhibit was closed.

Decided to spend the equinox on the trail, so went up to Shenandoah to work on my SNP 500. Weather was like two different days...while hiking on one mountain it was sunny and warm, the next mountain was foggy wet and cool...made for a fun day. Saw bear poop, but no bears. Black Walnuts littered one mile of the trail like acorns frequently do this time of year.

/ Good morning!!!! #211,698
good morning all
a warm humid day today, 60 going up to 85 and then thankfully the rains come
at dinner time.
RS keep sending the water this way!

slept poorly last night, could not get comfortable, lot of parts sore
neck brace and back brace going back on after I take my shower.

Don, I did the colonoscopy self test last time, came back negative but because they see "something" thickening
in the wall someplace, they want to look at it, makes sense. For sure this will be my last one.
if you run enough scans you will always find something and now in one month I have had an ultrasound, an xray, a
MRI and now a CT scan. Pretty much one of everything, no surprise some red herrings were swimming around.

Lou, I'm surprised this thread even allows you to use the President's name.
we sure all need to take it down a notch...
I'm sad for you; have same issue with my inlaws, crazy liberal sister and very right wing brother and it's like putting
two sides of the magnet together, they repel like mad.

every day I look at four news broadcasts including Fox News.
and I remind myself that just because folks don't agree with my stance on many issues,
their opinion isn't any less valuable than mine. That's why we live in a democracy and I wouldn't
want to live anywhere else.
We all need to learn from each other and keep our minds open to change.

Good Morning,
then they commonly say its not worth it.
Totally agree Arly 😉
Decided to make a dish out of it.
Wow Phil, beautiful work on some incredibly old wood, very special 😉

Buppies and Drew, better sleep nights hopefully coming soon 🙏

/ Good morning!!!! #211,700
Good Morning,
Ct, 58 to start going to 78 or possibly low 80’s. More humidity moving in along with post showers this evening. We certainly could use it. 🙏

Started draining the pool out at 6am, need to get the water level below the returns to blow out the lines. That’s today project. Looks like more significant rain moving in on Thursday and Friday. Which would bring down a ton of leaves in my pool, you all know how much I dislike that 😉 Closing takes the better part of the day, but I will try and move it along the best I can and try and get some radio time in. 😉.

While the pool is draining I usually occupy my time putting pool furniture away , chairs umbrellas etc.

Almost time to walk to the bus stop to say goodbye to one of the grandsons.

I hope all have a terrific day 🙏
